Do you have business cards? Are they still a thing? I was considering getting some made.

For what, your own personal use? Not related to work or your own business? Because you think you're smooth and want to "impress" the ladies? No dude, that reeks of try-hard. If it's for your own business, then sure.
Who are you gonna give them to? Friends? Family? Potential Dates?
I have them from work. I use them for business functions, vendors, and remembering my own work number when on the phone .
As long as it has your fax number on it, you're all good.
I've had them at times. They are useful for certain Jobs.
They are still a thing, they are even still a must have...
But.. Only, and I mean only if you actually have a business.
Employees of companies or organizations will get cards from their employer, if they need to have em.
For private people, the cards are just pathetic.
Like someone said.. that try-hard aspect backfires quickly..
"The pen is mightier than the sword.. and considerably easier to write with."
Yeah. Mine have a subtle off-white color and are tastefully thick. They even have a watermark.
This is 90% the reason I have business cards. The other 10% divides up this way -- 7% because some businesses hand out free stuff if they draw your card, 3% for people I hope will stay in touch.
From the other side, I just ask for a business card to get sales people to go away.
It's 2018
Only egotistical douchebags make themselves buisness cards.
If you go to industry conferences and cons it might be nice to hand out cards.
Even then you can do a lot with your phone, just text each other and store the contact in your phone's address book.

Its good if you are a technician or some type of repair person.
Of course I do, I'm not an idiot.
Engineer. Yes, I have them. It’s easier to hand a contractor/vendor a card during a walkthrough rather to wait for them to tap everything into a cell phone. Plus, some locations require intrinsically safe electronics and a cell phone isn’t allowed.
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.
