Allied Races - Highmountain Tauren
Bestowed with moose horns by their ancestor Huln, the Highmountain Tauren tribes have united together after pushing the Legion out of their lands. With the threat gone, these Tauren have decided to ally with the Horde and the rest of their kind to fight the Alliance.

Unlocking the Highmountain Tauren
To unlock the ability to make a Highmountain Tauren, the following achievements must be completed on one character on your account. Once done, you can make a Highmountain Tauren on any server that you have a 110 character provided you have purchased Battle for Azeroth.

• Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Complete the Highmountain storylines
• Exalted with The Highmountain Tribe

Classes
The Highmountain Tauren Allied Race can be any of these classes:

• Druid
• Hunter
• Monk
• Shaman
• Warrior

Racials
The Highmountain Tauren racial abilities give you damage reduction, increased mining, increased versatility, a knockdown, and a chance to loot more meat and fish.

• Rugged Tenacity - Reduces damage taken by 1.8% of stamina.
• Pride of Ironhorn - Mining skill increased by 15 and allows you to mine faster.
• Mountaineer - Increases your Versatility by 1%.
• Bull Rush - Charges forward for 1 sec, knocking enemies down for 1.5 sec. 2 minute cooldown.
• Waste Not, Want Not - You have a chance to loot additional meat and fish.

Mounts
The Highmountain Tauren racial mount is the Highmountain Thunderhoof. It is usable by all Horde races upon completion of Allied Races: Highmountain Tauren.

How is that rugged tenacity racial supposed to work?

Literally what is says... e.g. 1000 Stamina, 1.8% of that is 18. Take flat 18 damage less.

As it says? What do you mean? Its a passive damage reduction like all the others?!

Depending on what Zandalari gets as a racial i will make my druid to one of those. WAY better for pvp than both troll or tauren.

My affliction lock is for sure getting changed to void elf since it will be getting some of the most overpowered racials ever.

I donned my tinfoil hat the minute they did the Nightborne, started Sunday, 3 more races to go, 3 more days til Tuesday annoucement!

It looks like horde allied races (sub races) are behind reps we had available since legion began.

Yeah, mmo know more than the rest of us does? Coincidentially the last of the first 4 allied races comes tomorrow? Gets more hype though, for sure.

I for one think we get the announcement in the Q&A tomorrow, with the actual launch of the allied races coming later. Would be a bit weird if they announced such a big thing at the same day it launches?

It feels odd to be exalted with a faction that will send out its most esteemed champions to wage war against and try to kill you..

Also, is the absolute number of rugged tenacity applied before or after the percentage damage reductions like armor, versatility et al, and how does it interact with block?
These are questions I don't expect to be answered today, but that I will be very interested to learn going forward.
