    Help Buying New GPU

    Hi all!
My current GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 from ASUS is about to die. It displays artifacts or just doesn't boot / starts.
I’ve already had the oportunity to test the remaining components and everything else seems fine.
I Want to replace it with a new Graphics card, but as I've been out of the market for some time, I'm not really sure what to buy considering both AMD and NVIDIA have been releasing new GPU's.
    What do you guy's suggest?
I'm rendering FullHD Videos so my current GPU had to be overclocked but it would do the work (slowly and with lots of software optimization).
When I'm not rendering I want the card to Mine.
My Budget for the upgrade is around 300€ but of course, the less I spend, the better.
I'm afraid that with this price jump i won't get anything much better than what I had.
I live in Portugal and I want to buy it from Portuguese stores because of any Warranty issue that might come up.
So far, I've searched in tecmagnet.com which gathers some Portuguese stores products together (it's easier to sort like this).
I'm also worried about energy efficiency. The energy here is expensive and I want to be efficient whether I mine or Edit.
Regarding the rest of the hardware I'm pretty well served, so I wont be needing any PSU, Motherboard, RAM's or other type of components.
Hope you guys can help me since I need a solution in the present week.
    Thank you all.

Your card should still be under warranty, try to get it fixed/replaced if it still is is your best bet atm with inflated card prices

GTX 1060 6GB is solid one. I bought mine over a year ago for 300 euros and it's still good, sure it's old graphic card but surely prices are down to 200 euros or something now. Even lower for used ones.

    You had backwards.

    $200 a year ago.
    Now $300.

On Ebay you get a GTX 1060 3GB for around 150-180€ here in the EU, whats naive about that ?

If your card manages to hold out could wait till the end of March for the new GTX 2080 and 2070's to come out.

Should lower the price of the older cards, but with the Bitcoin craze as it is who knows.

And where have you seen that the new Nvidia series is coming at the end of March? There is no info on that on Nvidia's home page.

Only thing floating around is rumors and they go from 1 months to 6 months, but there is no official info from Nvidia

Looking back at it, it is a rumored release date based on a supposed leak on Feb 26. Only way to know if its true or not is to wait till the end of March.
