hmm . i wonder how they got away with increasing production since the dawn of oil and also have the price go up. people keep using more. oil is going to be produced regardless of who is president of the usa.

It doesn't matter. Venezuela got destroyed, Libya was destroyed and so on. It's about monopolizing the market and that requires destroying anyone that provides and alternative.
And the ones you can't destroy you ruin from the inside.
It's nothing new by the way, this is textbook stuff from Machiavelli 5 centuries ago.

No they aren't... The thing you linked was about The World Bank... An entity that provides loans/encourages investment within developing nations to encourage that development... So they are essentially saying they will not help developing nations expand into oil extraction, their reason being to curb climate change.

And oil consumption isn't declining... Most experts forecast it will EXPAND by millions of barrels per day within the next few years...

Not only that, the only reason why Russia's economy is struggling is also because of the falling oil economy. There is literally no sane reason to think that investing more in oil or becoming the lead producer is a good thing... the previous lead producer was Russia and they're suffering due to similar reasons as Venezuela.
Russia is not the US? They, like Venezuela (though to nowhere near the same extent), heavily rely on oil... And most of its extraction is state owned... Upwards of 70% of their exports are oil and natural gas, it is 20% of their economy, and it accounts for a majority of their government revenue...

None of those things are even remotely similar to the oil industry of the US... Oil (and gas) is .8% of our economy... We are a net importer of oil, not a net exporter, and our government makes almost nothing in terms of revenue from the oil extraction industry...

It's like celebrating you've become the lead producer of horse carriages while the rest of the world is moving on to using cars instead.
The article never said it was positive? I never said it was a positive? Other than a couple clearly troll posters, who is celebrating?

The article merely relayed the fact that this is happening and I merely defended my country against your absurd and ill-informed arguments.

Much better alternatives around. If i want a pizza i'll go to an actual italian dinner where i can also order on phone and pick them up relatively fast. Same goes for any other product you just mentioned all with less additives and made by people who can actually do more than press the on and off switch on a microwave.

With the exception of macdonalds those brands aren't nearly as popular here and even mcdonalds needs to fight for their market share and is often something you take kids to due to the massive amount of publicity and promotions and all they really did was kill off other fast food chains not actual mom and pop food places.

Meat products have hard time entering the EU market due to our stricter approach on antibiotics and other medication on live stock. Hence the US getting upset over certain TTIP agreements they wanted and could not get.

Food products and chemicals have a hard time entering the EU market in general. Although there is hardly any meat in anything of those brands you mentioned.

Somebody here who owns a fast food place named 'wendy' build a 2nd location just to prevent the American Wendy from coming here, shits hilarious.

People who grew up inside a bubble often are too ignorant to look outside of it, when confronted with it all you get is more denial so i would just let it be. Cause when you start pointing out a lot of their music that became big actually has roots elsewhere they don't tend to react well to it. Not that it really matters since all this really is trying to take credit for something they had no part in.

To be honest i'm glad we have the kind of "frituur" culture that we do over here, can't imagine being tied to one of the big brands for that type of food.
