Every now and then we see news of school shooting in the US.
Now again this kid was under mental treatment.
Why is this so common in the US? Why most of the Americans are always taking pills?

To infuriate you personally, it's on the perscribtion
Because the pharmaceutical companies don't like to actually treat illnesses. Instead they like to "manage" them via a protection racket. The object is to get everyone in the country on as many drugs as possible, so they can make more profit. All other considerations are secondary to that.
That said, not everyone is always taking stuff. The ONLY things I take are 1) an over the counter antihistamine for allergies, and 2) the occasional aspirin for the inevitable sinus headaches I get due to said allergies.
Because these days simply being an active Child is diagnosed as "ADHD" Doctors Prescribed them Drugs and you start pumping kids full of Chemicals from a young age and then wonder why when going through puberty their bodies freak out from Chemical imbalances.
That's what I thought.
Its a F***** trap what the pharmaceutical do, they don't give you the cure they just attached you to the medication to make profit.
People specially in America should stay away from pills, if you need help, seek for help in a Latin American country or so seriously...

I made this following point as a pro health service but center-right person to an anti health service right winger.
I said there's one difference amongst many between an NHS and private medical care but one fundementaly. Under private medical care they make money from you being sick the longer your sick the more money they make. Under an NHS they lose money when your sick and lose more money the longer your sick.
And that's fundemental as health people are health workers there for a NHS works in the best interest of the state and wider buissness to make money. Where as private health care is a drain on wider buissness and a loss to the economy.
A NHS promotes economic growth. And costs less that private and keeps the people happy. It is a win win
Across the board for most Mental Illnesses, I don't doubt that. But ADHD has been consistently studied in terms of misdiagnosis.
I had read about it quite a bit as my Nephew was thought to have ADHD by his School Teacher and when referred to different Doctors, my Sister got 5 different consultations done by 5 different Doctors. 2/5 of them were perfectly fine diagnosing him with ADHD after only a small session whereas the other 3 just pointed it out as being pretty normal behaviour for his age group/relative intelligence.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4443828/ was a good read when it happened.
