    Ultimate retribution loop hole?

Okay, so you know how casting bop or bubble will get rid of the combat rez effect?

What if you can forsee a teamy dieing and bubble just BEFORE they die and then be able to cast rez while bubbled?

    Possible big brain strat?

I don't think you can cast rez while in combat, and bubble doesn't pull you out of combat, it just makes you immune to damage during its duration.

    Is this a vanilla thread?

Okay, for those who are unaware. Ultimate retribution is a ret pvp talent that lets you cast rez while in combat with a shorter cast time when a party member dies.

The catch is that if you use bubble or bopit removes the effect for obvious reasons.

My question is, what if you bubble BEFORE they die? Will the effect remain active?

Test it but pretty sure you cant get the buff while immune.

Would love too but at work. Lol

Im just going off the wording of it.

It says if you USE either spells the effect ends. It doesnt say if you're under the effects.

The wording on the talent makes it sound feasible; it is a question whether the effect can apply to you when you are shielded. (Tooltips don't always explain everything).

    Regardless; Even if it can proc on you while shielded;
    - with the cast time of 6 seconds you will only have a 3 second window (at max! - after substracting GCD) to catch.
    - in 2v2 you would basically give the opponent 7 seconds of preparation time (either stealth, bandage,...) which in a game-mode which is mainly about keeping up pressure till the other team drops isn't the best of ideas + chances are you will be nuked into bubbling before this happens anyway
    - 3v3 will make it harder to pull of, since the bigger a team is the higher the chance of a priest and the more pressure there will be on you most of the time making you bubble early on
    - 5v5 just takes the 3v3 issue to the next level
    - in RBGs you won't really be wasting your time with this kind of strats; the 30 second ress timer just seems more feasible

Good luck pulling off this kind of gimmick on a reliable basis.

If it's a 'debuff' buff and you bubble beforehand, it will not work(there are rare exceptions).
