Tallest sea level to top thing in wow

I'm trying to figure out what could be the tallest peak, structure or object on azeroth, as from the sea level to its highest point. obviously things in outland and on Argus excluded because they don't have seas.

    Sargeras's sword
    Icecrown Citadel
    Temple of storms
    Teldrassil
    Top of Nordrassil
    Peak of Highmountain
Highest point of Kun Lai summit

My go to was sargeras' sword, but remember the ground level of silitus is already close to water level, where as something like the temple of storms it way above the ocean level at its base in storm peaks.

I would say Gorribal is the highest object, based on the fact that when I flew up to the top I pretty much hit the game world's ceiling.

Hard to say, Likely Gorribal since Silithus is already open flat ground. Nordrassil is tall but it is already on top of mountains.

true I noticed that to, however blizzard has changed the ceiling height for that specifically, its like when you fly over ashenvale its pretty low compare to hyjal.

    Is this in-game files size?

Following it a bit lore wise and realistically the sword is bigger than anything, they just didnt animate it correctly in game for a reason.

well, no the point is you go from the top of nordrassil and how far down it would be to reach sea level from that height

since the sea level in wow is universal its the best way to register it.

Well, lorewise it should still be the highest point by a large margin. Just look at the cinematic when Sargeras plunges it into Azeroth.

If you are talking pure gameplay wise, I would still vote for Gorribal though.

I think the only way you could test this would be say a priest or mage jump and float down from those heights, but then you'd not manage to hit sea level from icecrown or temple of storms that way.

Mount Neverest in Kun lai summit is the highest peak in wow, not sure if Sargeras's Gorribal tops it.

I thought you meant the Height of an object if it were to be put at sea level. If you are just talking about the top point to sea level regardless of whats underneath it that's a different thing all together.

Though pretty sure Gorribal wins just from the fact it's handle was technically in the atmosphere when SArgeras slammed it in, whereas Nord was not atmosphere height.

The top of sargeras' sword is the tallest.

The Peak of the Kun-Lai summit is the tallest natural one tho.

Somone on the wow forums answered this after legion launched but doesn't include Sargeras' sword so its between that and Nordrassil

Alright - back again. Since sea levels were all within thousandths of a game yard from one another, I just went with absolute heights.

Nordrassil (the World Tree) is the clear winner here, as it should be. The upper leaves reach a point of 2,713.4 game yards above sea level, and the highest part you can actually stand on, is still higher than any other location, at 2,450.7 GY

As for the rest - a combination of tall points, and guesses from this thread:

    3. The tips of the spires of ICC, Icecrown (2,153.9)
    4. Temple of Storms, Storm Peaks (1,990.4)
    5. Unnamed Hyjal peak {67.67, 37.60} (1,970.6)
    6. Unnamed Hyjal peak {53.50, 39.60} (1,889.4)
    7. Temple of Storms, Storm Peaks (natural geography) (1,880.5)
    8. Ulduar's roof, Storm Peaks (1870.7)
    9. Temple of Order, Storm Peaks (1832)
    10. Terrace of the Makers, Storm Peaks (natural geography) (1665.3)
    11. Highmountain Peak, Highmountain (1577.9)
    12. ICC, Icecrown (Lich King Platform) (1544.1)
    13. Violet Citadel tip, Dalaran (Broken Isles) (1279.3)
    14. Neverest Pinnacle, Kun Lai Summit (1229.5)
    15. Violet Citadel tip, Dalaran (Northrend) (1191.9)
    16. Shala'drassil, Val'sharah (1179.1)
    17. Veiled Stair peak, Pandaria (1137)
    18. Reflection Peak, Highmountain (1125.2)
    19. unnamed Kun-Lai peak {54.01,54.08} (1000)
    20. Kota Peak, Kun-Lai Summit (920.921)
    21. Unnamed Dun Morogh peak {64.11,26.13} (896.3)
    22. Heart of Fear (891.2)
    23. Twilight Citadel (879.7)
    24. Blackrock Mountain (858.5)
    ...
    ??. Wyrmrest Temple (441.7)

Top of Nordrassil imo. If you try flying up to Hyjal from org at an angle you will hit the flight ceiling about 1/2 to 1/3rd the way up the mountain.

Tested on my mage, and on my pally(dismounted and timed the fall, which I know is not going to be 100% conclusive b/c he wasn't falling into water). Took my mage longer to slowfall from the top of Nordrassil than it did from the sword. Still, inconclusive since I was unable to land my character into the sea. Will test again, I'm sure there is an angle where I can make it to the ocean.
