I want a Dreadsteed really, really bad.
Let's see, for the PAX reveal there are a few oddballs they could pick. The Overmind was one they could do, he could replace the core like they initially had planned with Ragnaros. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they mention messing around with the Overmind already? It could be a two-person hero, with one the Overmind and the other a cerebrate or something like that. I'd prefer he wasn't since I'd like to play him whenever I like.
They could pick someone from the older games of Blizzard, like Blackthorne or that racing game.
Honestly there are so many weird characters they've made that I can't really narrow it down further than that.
The big issue with Overmind is always brought up every time it's mentioned (because everyone always has the idea that Overmind just replaces Core/buildings etc).
That is, it would be wildly unbalanced to have a hero that CANNOT DIE. Permanent presence with zero downtime or self-danger ever? No way.
Abathur scrapes through because he has a physical body that is frail as hell. He CAN be killed through the game to relieve his pressure for a time (unless he sits in base constantly, which means he's doing fuck-all anyway).

I had had this idea initially for Yogg-Saron rather than the Overmind but it would work for C'thun or the Overmind in a similar way - as trait with 2 charges (and maybe a 20 second recharge) you spawn a tentacle. The first one can be placed anywhere your team has vision but all further ones have to be within X range of the first, to prevent having sneaky super hidden ones, or keeping one in your Nexus. If at any point ALL of your tentacles are dead you get "silenced" for a period of time equal to a "death" period and are unable to use any other abilities (and as you've replaced the core, you're effectively "dead" in as far as any gameplay is concerned).
For Yogg you could even have it so killing the last tentacle opens a portal to the 'Yogg brain room', with an "Abathur/Murky" HP'd brain inside, the killing of which "kills" Yogg-Saron for X longer than a normal death at that level. Would be kinda cool flavour for what was one of the most awesome "final bosses" of a patch
So left unchallenged you can amass a veritable forest of different tentacles (I was thinking for Yogg his 3 abilities would "evolve" the tentacle to determine how each one behaves, crusher, constrictor, corruptor) and his ultimates would be things like the lunatic gaze attack which deals damage to anyone facing towards you - your teams core; or maybe summoning Sara as a Valkyr, or a wave of Forgotten One lane pushers kinda like Azmodans, maybe make them do something fancy to heroes but sod all HP and seige dmg to make it more different than his idk.
Sorry, as you were.
they should make tirion, im tired of waiting for him
I'm tired waiting for anything! I really understand why they are slowing down, I actually think we have enough heroes right now and I somewhat anticipated that they will start making longer gaps between hero releases but...
I just want a teaser! And a clear message like "hey guys, we think we have a healthy roster right now and will now release heroes a bit slower" as a heads up would be pretty nice too. Not gonna lie, I've been checking up on this thread a lot lately in hopes for a teaser.
Archon hero Concept I saw on Reddit -- that's my vote :3
Especially if they went the route of having different ults for when only one of the heroes was in play or they wanted to stay split and the ability for them to merge 10+ as a user suggested.

What do you call a tsundere Wookie? Chew-b-b-baka
There was a post about SC anniversary and according to blizz there is a hint about new hero ("real hero")
So it will be a named SC hero for sure. Background depicts Protoss structure so it will be a protoss hero. Question is does a quote "real hero" refers to named and known hero only or to his heroic deeds also? We can have Aldaris, Fenix/Talandar, Karax, Selendis, Rohana. I think 3 of them are viable - Karax (Specialist), Rohana (Support), Fenix (Warrior, maybe assassin). We got SC warrior last time so new one is unlikely. Specialists are the rarest releases (1 per year, around March, so Hell. It's about damn time!) and protoss could use a proper healer.

I'd love to see an incarnation of Fenix based on his co-op version in SC2, with the different forms he can activate for whatever he needs at the given time.
Those are purifier protoss colors. So im guessing fenix!
Or Khalai protoss, but if Khalai who then?
.
Original Dragoon Fenix?

Just for the fun of it, here's the Fenix preview for SC2 co-op:
I'd love to see this as well. He could be another full-blown, multi-class hero, able to be a Warrior (Praetor Armor), Assassin (Solarite Dragon), or even a Support (Cybros Arbiter). Just like in SC 2 coop, they could have it where his suits only naturally regenerate health and mana when they're aren't currently in use, forcing Fenix players to think ahead strategically, and determine which suits they might need ready in the future.
He also seems to be the likeliest candidate for the next hero, if the teaser really is pointing toward another Protoss. Most of the other remaining major Protoss characters either took too much of a passive or "mission control"-type role to make much sense on a battlefield (Aldaris, Rohana) or seem like they already have their hypothetical role/kit covered by heroes already in the game (Karax with Probius, Selendis with Artanis).
