How I feel about my carries when playing support in League
Not my kind of healer for sure, but I can see her appeal. The concept is nice. She can be a good addition to deathball comps as well.

Looks awesome! When is she coming on live servers?
I don't have the exact numbers, but seems like the heal pack is her only form of healing and, assuming it does 150 healing on a 5 second CD, that would put her HPS around 30, ignoring her own self heals. Which is about equal to Zen's ability to heal.
Seems fitting for her though as she seems split portion between tank, damage, and heal. Nice choice for people who can't decide which role to choose.
It's a 6 second CD, so ~25 HPS, but it can overheal into armor, which is significant.
She ALSO has an PBAoE heal every time she hits someone with her melee attack, though. If you're hanging back and trying to play her like Mercy, your healing will suuuuck, but if you dive in and manage to not die, you'll probably rack up some crazy HPS numbers.
Personally just disappointed its a second Support in a row, feels like they should space it out more since their hero releases are so slow. Doing it this way means anyone who doesn't play support doesn't get anything new for at least half a year if not more.
Really should have been a Defense hero or Tank.
There's a desperate need for more healer heroes. Unless things have seriously changed (and Google doesn't tell me it has), a "standard" comp is still 2 DPS/2 tanks/2 healers. Some variation into 3/1/2 or even 1/3/2, but really rarely into a one-healer comp.
So, for the standard comp, we have;
14 DPS heroes (Offense + Defense)
6 tanks
6 healers (soon 7)
So for a 2/2/2 combo, that gives you 15 options for tanks and healers, and 91 options for your two DPS slots (where "option" is any particular combo of 2 heroes).
For a 3/1/2, that's even more weighted towards DPS.
And for 1/3/2, it's 14 options for the one DPS slot, still 15 for the healers, and a bunch for tanks.
Even in the worst-for-DPS setup, they still have as many options to pick from as healers do in any standard comp size. The game doesn't need more offense/defense heroes, mechanically. They seemed to set up the original character distribution based on a 4/1/1 team comp assumption, so we've got way more offense/defense heroes than we really need. Catching tanks and healers up is really important. Frankly, we'd have been better off without the two new DPS heroes we DID get (Sombra and Doomfist). Neither's really thrown a wrench into the game, where adding a new healer often does.
With Birgitte, we're probably "okay" on healers, but it's not ideal.
I'm talking a fun and consumer base standpoint not a comp stand point.
When you release 2 of one role in a row you alienate out a portion of your consumer base who doesn't like that playstyle of hero, be it Offense/Defense/Tank or Support.
So now if you are not a support player you have to wait another 3+ months for the next hero to MAYBE be something fun. It's a game after all, it's main goal is fun, just because there is less of one type of hero doesn't mean they should get everything all in a row, they should have waited AT least one more hero before releasing another support. Hell, Moira isn't even settled into the meta yet.
And I'm not saying this out of support hate, because I would say it if 2 of ANY role were released in a row.
If they were faster on hero releases it wouldn't be an issue, but at 3+ months a pop, it becomes one. (And the fact that Defense hasn't gotten anything new in 2 years)
does she have self regen like zen? didn't pay attention when I tried her
Installing PTR now, haven't played OW in a while but she has me excited again.

She pairs incredibly well with Reinhardt. The stun charges, armor boost, her swinging with his swings.
Definitely looking forward to playing him with her by my side. Vice versa as well.

Although more tanks would be nice, we really don't want a Defense hero.
Simply being, Defense heroes are in a TERRIBLE place right now. Mei is getting some slight buffs, Sym, Torb,
AND Hanzo are getting reworked, Bastion is in an okay position so far, while Widowmaker and Junkrat are
the only Defense heroes that are viable.
Until the devs can figure out exactly "where" they want these heroes, Defense heroes are generally always
going to be a second/situational choice.
Brigitte is the reason I'm actually downloading the PTR for the first time ever.
For a Support/Tank player I'm really excited to test her out.
I've always loved Reinhardt's design so seeing his god daughter take a similar cause is very endearing.

Damn very interesting new hero. If she indeed ends up being a counter to pesky tracers and genjis she will really shake things up. I can see her really helping out the backline. Ana will love her, the synergy there is really good.
I really like how Blizzard is designing new heroes. Basically they target players that play specific roles/heroes and try to give them more options. Like they gave snipers more options with Ana (and that was back when Hanzo was the most annoying hero in the game), and Moira gave Mercy/Symm players an alternative. This one looks to be very geared towards tank players. I don't think that people that don't tank at all will enjoy her much though; she looks like she will depend heavily on her team playing around her and that does not always happen. Zen mains might also like her or swap to her if they are getting rekt by flankers.
But damn I am really excited for some backline protection. Especially excited for tracers and genjis having to think twice about shifting into the enemy team.
