I have been saying for years that auric could fill the position of blue eyed blood elves representative when we thought we might have blue eyes.

About high elves in quelthalas is no longer something that we can discuss it was blizz who says that they are the high elves that we saw in the game as npcs and that they were not playable. so if they are high elves and I think that since they are high elves that are returning to quelthalas they should have a figure that represents them and auric fulfills that role!

I said that it is good that the alliance has high elves and that the horde gave us something in return as humans from Alterac
He was a High Elf Representative in one questline back in Wrath and was also the npc in Allerian Stronghold. There is also an Alliance expedition team called Auric's Angels consisting of a high elf, a human and a Night Elf. He is an Alliance character. Is it really that hard?

So does Alleria and Umbric. They just don't like the Horde.

It would definitely be nice to see her back home. Maybe walking around Murder Row with some blood elven rogue relatives.

I find the Quel'dorei advocates' insistence that no named high elves would ever return home and enter the blood elven fold far more irrational than any suggestion that someone like Auric might be seen in Quel'Thalas in the future.

And the main point of this is that we are getting the high elves npcs as playable options added to the blood elves and void elves! it is normal to think that some of those npcs are returned to quelthalas!

The Alliance High elves need to keep their heroes. I don't see any Helfer asking for named blood elves even if now there's no reason for a blood elf to not join the Alliance again.

I feel like I've seen people asking for some blood elves in the void elves, at least. Perhaps they're not asking for specific blood elves to be added to the Silver Covenant or anything, but now that high elf fans have their blue eyes and skin tones for the void elves, I'm seeing lots of them asking for everything else the blood elves have too.

Because Rhlor is insisting on switching factional allegiances from a character that stands out because of their neutrality (with Alliance-leaning side). That is what doesn't make sense.

No one cares if say Roseleth wanted to go back home to Silvermoon. The insistence on Auric switching factional allegiance (which is what Rhlor is adamant about) is what is strange. Can he not stay as a High Elf representative in Silvermoon while being Alliance? The same way Baine doesn't automatically become Alliance just because he's visting Anduin / is at Anduin's council meets.

Yet no one is asking for a Blood Elf named character who has been Horde to go to the Alliance side. That's what Elbleut is pointing out.

Everything else is a big mystery. I hope the 2nd pass on customization brings some good news! We are in uncharted territory now!
Based on the recent interview, it sounds like they are going to circle back to add more high elf options to Void Elves. They did the minimum for the time being, but they will add more with time.

They have at least three months before prepatch. So, while I don't expect anything major, I do think we will see things like more textures (hair colors, skins, scars, jewelry colors and tattoos) added everywhere, as well as more split customization categories here and there. For comparison, the entire first pass over all main races took a little over three months, so there's plenty they may do yet.
    Whatever...

I've got to be honest with you, aside from the blue eyes, it's as if nothing ever changed. The new skin colours are just too jarring against the Void Elf hair styles and colours. Barely any combination looks good, except for maybe the new dark skin colours. We really need the full kit.
I don't know if I'd agree that the Void Elf styles/colors are jarring. Some of them look quite nice. Like these for instance:

    Or these:

That's not to say the number of styles and colors aren't limited, and I certainly hope we'll at least get a few traditional color options for pre-patch. I'm not sure we'll see any hairstyles added to void elves for pre-patch but certainly when allied races get some real focus time they will get some, though I'm not sure if Blizzard will give void elves straight ports from Blood Elves. Personally, I'm hoping for some human hairstyles and colors to be shared. Like these:

the problem is that blizz told us that the npcs high elves are joining the void elves and the blood elves! the quelthalas government will not allow the void elves to return to because they endanger the sunwell so the high elves who decide to stay in the alliance could not have representation in quelthalas because they could not return as they decided to join the void elves.

and I repeat I say auric because I think it is perfect for the role of representative of the high elves in our side instead of other characters such as jalinde

Auric serves to make certain those High Elves who don't want to join the Horde can still safely visit the Sunwell. If he joins the Horde then any Alliance High Elves, that don't want to join the Ren'dorei but still want access to the Sunwell, have no advocate. High Elves who join the Horde don't need an advocate. They have been repatriated as citizens of Silvermoon and thus have full access to the Sunwell by default. If there's an NPC needed to handle their repatriation it would be a new NPC and likely a Blood Elf.

An article from polygon about the new shadowlands customizations had the following to say.....

"Why will these large-scale cosmetic drops keep coming? Because Shadowlands overhauled the way that cosmetics work; it’s no longer an exponential increase in effort to keep adding systems like the Night Warrior cosmetics. Now everything is on the table — including options like Forest Trolls or Blood Elf hair colors on Void Elves."

Woohoo!! That’s not a guarantee it’ll happen, but at least they’re aware of our desires! Hopefully it doesn’t take 10 years like the skin colors.

a blood elf representing the high elves? that doesn't make sense, the high elves would have to have someone of theirs join them as their representative

If these High Elves are returning to Silvermoon they don't need a representative because they are joining the citizenry of Silvermoon. For all intents and purposes these returnees are now part of the Sin'dorei whether they keep calling themselves High Elves or not (much like High Elves joining Alleria are now members of the Ren'dorei whether they keep calling themselves High Elves or not). They aren't some group of outsiders in need of protection anymore. They are now card carrying members of the Horde with all the rights and protections that entails. The governing body of Silvermoon IS their representation because they are now citizens of Silvermoon.

On the other hand, any High Elf that does not wish to return to Silvermoon and join the Horde, has no representation if Auric joins the Horde.

Oh and just for the memes... "Blood Elves are High Elves!"
