Ok and? So were High Elves and anti-peeps to helves kept saying 'stop asking for it, it's been 15 years stfu'.

I feel like some BE players are coming off as the same labels they gave to High Elf fans wanting High Elves: entitled/childlike/bratty/whiners/complainers/etc.

I think people just need to understand that asking for more things isn't bad, because that's literally what some BE players are doing right now: asking for more customizations after getting some new ones.

Leave the feedback of what you'd like to see on the forums for the race(s) you want, or any game feature you want in WoW.

Complaining about others getting things they asked for is extremely silly. "Blizzard these players here kept continuously asking for High Elves and you gave it to them, how could you?!" That's how some people are coming off.

Just keep making the requests and don't think it's going to happen overnight. Every sentence complaining about something others got is another sentence wasted that could've been about something you'd like to get.

Since Blood Elves are basically neutral Pandaren now, I think velfs should get the ear size options too, if hair color and paladins are not happening. Half elves are usually depicted with short pointy ears, and because they are half human, most of them would probably live in Stormwind.

Theres an npc who does, the tentacles aren't working so its probably unintended but it looks pretty good.

    This.

I'm still holding out for black hair since it showed on the previews. As with the underwear, it requires more work than just sharing textures; in the case oif the hair, the black option that some NPC's use (like Duskrunner Lorinas) is kinda bugged, as it lacks the tendril overlays and metal bits -it's less of an actual dark hair texture and more of a desaturated and darkened image of a regular hair color)

And the underwear I think it has more to do with the back-end of how underwear works -with the underwear files being individually connected to each skin tone, thus still loading BE underwear since they are literally BE skins shared by VE's- so I think that they are going to change that so the model just loads one texture of underwear for all skin tones -which makes sense in terms of efficiency, plus would make sense to add on all races- or they really are just using the BE skins as placeholders and will indeed duplicate them all over to Void Elves with each skin having new underwear -IMO don't think it makes much sense to put all the work to make BE skins load on the VE model and then redo the whole thing tho, but who knows!-

Void Elf underwear is actually seperate from their skin texture, its how entropic embrace works. Same for blood elves since Demon Hunters and their tattoos became a thing.

This is true lorewise to a degree, but not mechanically; Void Elves and Blood Elves still are treated as different races gameplay wise, with different models, so we can't really know what will they end up adding on Void Elves.

I mean it really doe smake sense lorewise, but we all know the segregation of High, Void and Blood Elves is an arbitrary gameplay decision.

Apparently infusing yourself with the void magically stretches your ears, that is why void elves only have long ear option. Also it makes you lose the arm jewels you had as a blood elf. Didnt you guys know?

Yes and no; underwear is a separate texture file that goes over the skin texture -hence why you can see skin that is usually covered by underwear with certain armors- What I am saying is that each skin texture has its own connected underwear texture instead of the model itself using one underwear texture file.

That's why the Void Elf model using BE skins loads Blood Elf underwear, because the texture itself is still blood elf -the Void Elf model is just being made to load BE textures- and the blood elf skin texture still is made to load its corresponding blood elf underwear texture.

Ah I see, I thought you just meant the skin includes the undies like the old days. Wonder why this is taking so long, I guess it isn't much of a priority but its still a little odd to me.

I mean I can see why it would take a bit long, because they either have to:

-duplicate the BE skin tones, and assign them with Void Elf underwear textures

    or

-change how underwear is loaded, and instead of making it linked to each skin texture, link it to the model itself.

I do think the later makes more sense, because it follows how other customization options work, such as tattoos and draenei jewelry color as we can see on the tendrils and tails. My theory is that since it's more of a file/path rearranging issue it's not a priority, but it will likely be up before lunch.

(Honestly I do believe the later is what they are doing, specially since they separated the VE jewelry from the skin texture so it works with BE textures. would have been unnecessary if the BE textures as used now are just placeholders)

I never complained about anything, always agreed that the alliance has more things and that the horde has more things, but I see some in the alliance who seem to not want the blood elves to have more things, like the user who does not want that void elves beards are shared in the blood elves when all blood elves skins were shared with the void elves

Oh but you did not seem to have a problem with the Horde fanboys who fought for years to deny us void elf players the righthful fair skin tones we deserved, even though they made perfect sense lorewise.

Its kind of funny how the tables have turned, now its blood elf players who are begging Blizzard to give them some void elf options.

Really? Cause i see lots of blood elf fans not wanting void elves to get hairstyles or colors.
Maybe we could not care about what haters don't want, instead of gettting defensive about it and hating back?

I personally always said that it did not bother me that they gave the alliance high elves as long as they gave something equally good to the horde since the high elves are the most played race of the horde I always thought that humans from Alterac would be great in the horde. I still want humans from Alterac!

Void elves should also have green eyes by the way, since now you can RP as one of the Silvermoon scholars studying in Telogrus Rift.

Logically yeah. Doubly so since you can be a "high elf warlock". This would turn their eyes green. Unlikely though and I'm not exactly making a case for it before any belf players get upset.

Which is why I didn't say you were personally saying it and instead used 'some BE players'.

It's easy enough to see who the complainers/haters are, they don't have to be individually singled out.

Also from my experience the only ever times I've seen people say blood elves shouldn't have more things was with the reasoning that they already had the most customization available prior to this Shadowlands increased customization.

But as I told another poster, that stance is moot now because a Blizzard developer recently (some months ago) said that the customization options between the races are not going to be equal.

Therefore, it's quite useless to sling around the 'they already got things, why are they getting more!' 'this other race doesn't have much, it should get more before others!' or 'this race already has enough it doesn't need any more customization!'

Like @Swnem said, just stop caring about what haters don't want. Haters gonna hate, literally. They're never going to be pleased. So like Blizzard did, just ignore them.

And keep asking for the things you'd like to see other races get, instead of what others should not get.

Honestly I dont give a fuck about belf players, they already lost. Lorewise it makes perfect sense, since there are blood elves studying in Telogrus Rift.

This is the problem with Blizzard, sometimes they care way too much about what Horde players think. Thats why it took them 3 years to give void elves fair skin tones, when they should have been available since day 1. After all, this is the void elf leader:

If I make a HE Warlock I'll use purple eyes, since I'd plan to go afflic which has a low of Shadow Magic involved!

Yeah I'd agree sometimes they care too much about angering the vocal minority. Tons more players love more options, just like virtually the whole playerbase was extremely excited about the increased customizations as a whole.

I also agree that players should be able to look like their racial leaders. Heck in Shadowlands we're literally saving our leaders, it's pretty obvious how unique the player character is and has been for some time. It's time players got to look the part as well, we're not regular grunts anymore (and technically never have been).
