*ponders*
Eh, I'll live.
Notice the other things i said. He is ignoring feedback in regards to EVERY ASPECT OF THE GAME.
HoA people have pointed out issues since day 1
Azerite armor see above..skills see above, gcd ojhh boy see above
The list goes on and on and onnn player feedbacks being jgnored worse then usual and i can see it bombing worse then WoD unless they pull something out of their asses
Well considering whenever you don't get what you want or the Horde gets something nice, you cry "Horde bias", I can imagine how educated your conclusion is.
This is just like the BFA areas about how they were Horde biased, so when I got Alpha access I started going through them. I've done only 2 Alliance areas and as far as I'm concerned they are miles above the Horde ones... so yeah, I'm wrestling with the idea that some of you crying "Horde bias" might have mental issues.
Ion is very ignorant. and it shitting on the whole Alliance fanbase
Well, it seems like at least Ion did do his homework a bit and someone did tell him that there are High Elves in the Alliance. Unfortunately, the only one he remembered was Alleria, lol. It really seems he is not knowledgeable about the Alliance side.
And this ultimately really shows who he is - a Horde player. And he might not want it and acknowledge it but subconsciously he does have it, as many other main devs do - the infamous Horde bias. And what I mean by this is not that they try to favor the Horde side or listen to Horde players more, what it means is that they think like many hardcore Horde players we meet on the forums, even though they try to remain neutral because that's their job. That's why Allied races heavily favored the Horde, they are basically a result of what would a dedicated Horde player believe are cool races for his faction and what would be cool races for the other faction. That's also why Ion gave this response about High Elves. And he might have told that this can change in the future, but if everything remains the same, it won't and he only said it as an implied apology. People can ask for High Elves with even bigger fervor, top more polls, etc. but that's like trying to convince those Horde players that argue against High Elves non stop. It's futile. There is only one argument that these devs will understand - your wallet. High Elves are bound to happen only as something to prolong the life of a dying game. But not now.
and gets better and better
Goodbye friends
We Fight
Goodbye World of Warcraft !THANKS ION IM UNSUBBING BYE WOW
-on a void elfIt's that Ion was such an unmitigated !@# about it, and even went so far as to repeatedly trot out that white supremacy canard to tar anyone who wanted High Elves
Ion is a complete and total piece of ****, and I have no interest in playing any game where a games designer feels so willing to denigrate the players of his game like that. To hell with that guy, and this game.Ion needs to grow up. Ion is a child trying to tell his parents why he didnt do his homework and making excuses besides saying he just didnt want toWell. We can't think of this as a defeat. We HAVE to let them know that they're wrong.Bye Warcraft! Thanks for all the good memories!Clearly anuthing that would make Ion's precious Horde feel sad is unacceptible. When alliance will get something we ask for? i give up.oh dearEveryone please please please please please keep voicing your want for High Elves as much as you can.
Ion didn't say it's absolutely 'never' going to happen.
We can still do this
We should make a new thread, one to provide counter arguments to everything Ion saidLet the horde echo chamber continue! Championed by Ion the Incompetent. Hope you folks enjoy fighting the scraps left over from Alliance, when you easily push through the leader boards in PvE and PvP you can pat yourselves on the back
Head cannon? Two way street. You in this chamber pick your own facets of the lore to pull from and disregard other tid bits. Ion said it himself, Void Elves are another flavor of Blood Elves which are another flavor of High Elves. Yeah, that's true, always has been. But you know what? We want the vanilla flavored elves to become fully playable in Alliance.
and this is just from 2 pages, im out of air already
Given Ion's reasoning for High Elves, Void Elves seem to make even less sense. That being said they could have avoided this by giving the Void Elves a transformation into their void form when they enter combat like the Worgen. I'm not sure why they didn't since that's basically what Alleria does....
With respect to those who are saying this is "over", one has to wonder just who they're trying to convince.
Plenty of things in this game were "over", until they happened. No need to look any further than Classic Servers.
hahahaahah IT'S OFFICIAL! SUCK IT HIGH ELF NOOBS!
You won't get the most popular horde race on the alliance.. sorry!!
I genuinely feel bad for the majority of the pro High Elf community who conducted themselves honourably throughout this entire debate. You may not believe that, but it is true. I take no joy in the sadness they now feel as their hopes for playable Alliance High Elves finally come to an end. The main source of my joy this evening is the validation of everything I have ever said, that Blood Elves are the true High Elves, that they are a core part of the Horde, and that the faction wall is important to maintain.
But it is also true that there are several posters, on both sides mind you, who have NOT conducted themselves honorably. And those on the pro High Elf who have not conducted themselves honorably have from time to time seen fit to single me out for personal attacks.
I am not a robot, and I have not appreciated being targeted in such a way.
So for THOSE particular players, and only those, I have schadenfreude. And I am entitled to that. Is it childish? Yes, I acknowledge it is, but I am still Human, and I cannot change how I am experiencing those emotions. That will in time pass, schadenfreude is not what is going to give me joy in the longterm.
What has made me happy is what I said has made me happy, the validation of everything I have ever argued. What Ion said is exactly how I see things and I am glad he, and clearly the wider team at Blizzard, agrees.
Please. I've been around, you know? I know all of you and I know you, the royal you and especially YOU don't give a shit about anything else aside your high elves, if Ion had said you'd get High Elves tomorrow you'd be kissing his feet. So again, please, spare me the BS.
Player feedback is not being ignored, idiotic demands are being ignored. What you think I enjoyed losing my belf racial? But me whining about it and them ignoring me is not ignoring player feedback it's just ignoring idiocy. Much like what's happening with Helfs.
This is essentially an aesthetic argument, and it's funny because I could have sworn we had a Panda-themed race with which it was possible to make two entirely identical Alliance/Horde characters.Originally Posted by Blizzard Entertainment
