The Alliance gets the Horde's most popular race. The Horde should get the Alliance's most popular race in return. Alteraci Humans for the Horde!
I make Warcraft 3 Reforged HD custom models and I'm also an HD model reviewer.
Since hair dyes are a thing, why not add a RGB color wheel?
They won't do specifically because they consider their different colors as 'options' for the player, like they treat their customization options as a special reward or something.
It's why raid tiers/pvp seasons just have recolors of the same armor type. They consider a shiny armor in silver a higher tier reward than the same one in brown/greys etc.
It's stupid because Void Elves pale skin colors have like 4 the same just slightly different tints.![]()
It isn't necessary for them to be a playable faction as long as blizzard keeps the current system. This is because alliance has highborne night elves and void elves which together basically do everything high elves as a faction can do
Void elves give the model, and Highborne night elves have the cultural character of high elves (look at the character of Farondis - its very similar to what i would imagien the high elves would be have), and night elf Highborne now following the Darnassian seem to be like that rather than the more corrupt, super arrogant version we see in Suramar quests and read about.
I also think it's better this way, they can accomplish everything if they let the highborne night elves build the new night elf city becuase face it, they are the main class that does cities.. druids don't, and priests only need a temple, without highborne no point in nihgt elves having a full city, with highborne basically you can have night elf highborne culture for the city that is very much like the high elves, while the druid culture remains in the forest. Adn the void elves provide the model
Then the blood elves are basically unique carrying the Thalassian assets and being one evoluiton of the high elves.
High elves as a faction continue to exist but unplayable, Silver covenant, and other groups etc, one group joins with the ren'dorei which is why we play them as ren'dorei.
I think thi sis the best for now.

Yes, this actually looks really good on void elves, they should have this effect on their hair, , rather than be an additional hair option, it should be a toggle tot urn on or off, so you can have the void colour influenced lower half or not.
The stars effect are good, although i would suggest the night elves get the silver starlets, while the void leves get a a purple colour version.
I do like the idea of toggles in general for modifications to various customization for all races, if only because it gives us more granular choices. For example, I really wish the Blood Elf hairstyle with the tiara had a toggle to hide the tiara. I like the hairstyle but I don't always want the tiara and don't always want to be pigeonholed into a color scheme that works with the tiara's gold and green.
yeh, that's what I said.
If blizzard had fully developed the night elves, they wouldn't need or even want high elves necessarily. At least not to this level.. if they had:
1. fixed and improved the night elf model properly in 6.0
2. buffed up the night elf civilization like they did for Suramar - so you have elven civilization through the night elves, as well as forest society through the drudis - no one would want Silvermoon and Quel'thalas.
We would be happy with our blood elves, you with your night elves.
The night elves have in their lore the night version of what the high elf civilization is, and it's supposed to be nicer - but they created this issue of alliance fans really wanting to high elves by keeping your night elves down.
But now it's fine, high elves through void elves is good enough , and the culture of the high elves shown properly through their original nighte lven versions is poetic justice i think that doesn't interfere with the blood elves.
All you need now is :
1. blonde hair options for void elves
2. A nice kaldorei civilization city -
And so we can end the cry for playable high elf faction once and for all.
I think elves in both factions are in a good place:
Horde:
1. Have the Thalassian civilization and the nation of blood elves with the ability to experience the full range of the Thalassians: Farstriders, forest, magisters, city and all the cultural flair of the Thalassians
2. Have a night elf civilization city with it's arcane civilization elves of the night elves. This is only the civilization side
Alliance
1. Has the Kaldorei people: The full breadth, the druids, the Highborne, the priests, the Illidari. they have the great forests and the kaldorei civilization, but with the Zin'Azshari type style
2. Void elves which have a unique version fo the Thalassians.. it's not hte original high elf one, but high elves are involved too, so it's a new variation, which can also be quite nice. They have the models at least but not the original Thalassian culture
I think it's fine like this, you get a high elven civilization through the night elves, and you also get a better forest culture through the night elves too - the night leves are a big race.. you also get a new type of Thalassian civilization from the void elves. You don't have a city for that yet but you will
The alliance RELALY doesn't need to get Silvermoon or Suramar - you have enough for blizzard to cerate a different pair of cities for you. a City for night elves that deserves that civilization Highborne style, and one of void elves that reflects the void difference.
i don't even mind if elves are bigger o n the alliance, because you've got night elves who are massive, and in void elves you get enough flavour of the high elves even if it's in void style - the horde doesn't need to lose Silvermoon or Quel'thalas or Suramar.
Fight for blizzard to give you really cool stuff for Night elves and void elves instead of trying to take the ones they gave back to the alliance. Everyone knows that blood elves are a version of high elves, and nightborne a version of night elves, but the way it is it works nicely on the horde, and you have a powerful show of night elf civilization character in the Farondis and in Zin'Azshari warbringers, a good forest representation throughout wow and now you have void elves, with high elf customisations..
you just need that blonde hair and the cities.
In night elves you get 100% Elven presentation: you got forest elves, and you get dark elf civilization full on
in void elves you get human /elf connection and friendship, and you get a unique version of what the blood elves have, with the capability of having high elf and blood elf customisations..
I think it's okay... @Tanaria - wouldn't you agree. I think they're in a good place, they just need to keep developing them.

yeh.. i don't get them sometimes, .. same with the eye options, if you want to have a chromatic eye option, don't add all the combinations as separate eye options, have a toggle for chromatic, and an option to switch them right.
I agree with most, but not regarding the Illidari being the main bulk of the Night Elf faction.
My Demon Hunter is a Blood Elf - he isn't a Fel Elf, he is a Demon Hunter. A Fel Elf is a Felblood Elf or Felborne and I chose Kayn Sunfury as my champion, plus Kayn is the canon choice for those who aren't demon hunters.
If the Illidari do have a small part in the new night elf city and the updated Silvermoon, then it should be there as neutral Ambassadors sent by Kayn and Kor'vos, with Jace Darkweaver and Allari the Soulbinder, the two known former Mages, who are present within the cities. I don't believe the Illidari should be a strict night elf thing or blood elf thing. It should be for both.
I'd also recommend that the new Night Elf city carries on with the same vibes of Darnassus, in terms of Druidism and Elune-worship being the big things, along with Sentinels, Wardens and the Worgen/Gilnean Humans.
Eldre'Thalas should be restored with the West Wing added to the Azeroth Map. This is where Void Elves and High Elves could live, with the Highborne Shen'dralar and the Night Elf Mages who aren't born with Highborne blood.
Agreed.
i kinda veiw the illidari as a largely leaning night elf body, but it's not the typical night elf one, it's more in the psirit of hte original pre-sundeirng kaldorei that view all elves as one. Demon hunters call each other brothers, and that is how they refer to both kaldorei, sin'dorei and others.
It appers to them, that all elves are their family. They are just skewed night elf because the more experienced and senior members would have more night elves in it.
Just like i feel the DKs are skewed forsaken because they are undead, the WPL Kolitra/Thassaurian quest kinda highlights closer ties with the forsaken than any other raec, because of their undead nature.. however unlike demon hunters, every race can be DKs
The night elves are big enough to carry both. And I think players would easily understand that.
If we follow on the vein from the other topic.. I think Hyjal should have that priest and druid vibe, but the thing is the priest vibe is very Highborne and night elf civilization - the two aren't really separate. The druid vibe is more understandably shown in a city via animals, and gardens and parks. I'm not sure how you would show a druid vibe outside that in a city, seeing as the forests are a 100% druid vibe, - you basically hae some parks in the new city, and lots of gardens and animal creatures - to me that is the druid vibe.
Eldre'thalas can be the "highborne"/"high elf" home.. where they can have weird things an magical wonders.. which won't be seen in the Hyjal city. Being night elven you would have nature and ancient trees, but not more, none of the wide variety of flora and fauna, and more richly guilded.
that's really the only real difference between the two - Highborne places will have more ornamentation like this:
If you observe, it has nature, but far more controlled, uniform etc, and relatively less than the commons area. It's still more nature than most cities of other races.
While the Hyjal and normal kaldorei have a lot more of this
But if they use the Zin'Azshari colour scheme it fits for high elves too.. look at this:
This has much more buildings, much less nature, but it has nature.
compare to this
As you can see this has a lot more green, their are gardens and plants all over, even some of the buildings have nature crawling tot he top and you can clearly see some have gardens on top of them too.
To me, this sort of place feels like a night elf city but also one the high elves would be at home with..it's got the blue and gold, but with the added star patterns of the kaldorei and moon symbols, the buildings are kaldorei but they have a high elf feel to them too.
Tbh, that should be their city. And be done with.. no more grasping for Silvermoon or Suramar. high elves and night elves can be happy.
I think your suggestion of a two city would work.. a smaller more spiritual one on Hyjal, and the bigger more elaborate in Dire Maul for Highborne and high elves.
IF we have high elves heavily involved with Highborne and with void elves.. i think no one would feel the need to ask for a High elf faction any longer. As long as blizzard don't disperse the NPC ones. Silver Covenant can remain in Dalaran or move to Eldre'thalas. The name even fits the high elves.

The reason you are doing this is for both the high elves and night elves. As druids don't require a city, Hyjal can have a temple and some trees, with the odd municipal building. Tight small.
Eldre'thalas can be the city.. it will be modelled like this here, and will also boast a temple and parks, it would be Highborne/high elf culture mostly, but it would be clear that the priesthood is the most powerful caste, and while druids don't live or dwell there , except for the parks, everyone hangs on their words. Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande are still the two most powerful night elves. Mordant Evenshade, and even Prince Farondis cannot compete - you'd need Illidan and Azshara to measure up to those two.
The city could have a system and hierarchy that intermixes Highborne and high elves freely too.
I would do a city for the void elves with a void expansion, it would have high elves and blood elves who are with the ren'dorei, but also hopefully new race Ethereals and others, it would be a void themed place and it can show the high elf/ void elf connection more powerfully, but also that of other races, including a sect of void draenei . It would be even more interesting if the Mag'har also were involved with the city, but the faction cries that move may bring is exactly what pisses me off about factions.

I also support more toggles in customizations. Night elf vines are good example. I believe you mentioned void elf hair tentacles are natural candidate for toggle candidate, but some hairstyles would look clunky without them. Perhaps we could replace tentacle with hair braids? That would look really good on some hairstyles, not to mention cool Ranger vibe that would provide.
Certainly very fitting for void elves. MyLifeIsThunder showed there is lot of potential to expand void elf options without copying blood elf features. Really good work.I'd love to see such options added.
MyWholeLifeIsThunder made this mockup of void elf hair in a few natural tones but with void tinting at the ends:
I thought it was well done. He also did this one which is very pretty:

Absolutely amazing.

Indeed those are awesome.
I’d love a few more Voidy hair colors for Void Elves as well though, like white, brown or blond with Void highlights.
Tattoos would be awesome as well

Thank y'all! I really need to get back to learning blender 2.9 lol
Ah I remember when I removed all the tentacles from the VE hairstyles but don't remember where that image is now XD! regardless, I did believe all of then looked alright so a toggle would work well enough. Now, the option to toggle that for braids? now that would be just awesome!
Bringing this back too because it would really be a cool way of adding variety and choice.
I still have the images of when you removed the tentacles!
I really like the look of some of them with no tentacles or braids at all. Obviously nothing at all in place of the tentacles would work better with some styles than others. But imagine if we could just pick between tentacles, braids, or nothing there!
