Just because Ion restated what has been said a million times doesn't mean people are suddenly going to stop asking for something they want. This is especially the case when Blizzards case on it has more holes than a round of swiss cheese. The minute they made Void Elves playable, you know a very tiny fraction of actual Blood Elves, the statement that their are too few High Elves lost all of it weight. That argument is basically a wall made of toilet paper in strength because of races they have already added.

It is what it is though and until someone else gets in charge players are stuck in the same spot they have been in for over a decade.

Oh, I didn't say it wasn't warranted. He just said he hadn't seen it happen. I've had that kid and his Mudmud bullshit on ignore for weeks. You can't be any more uninspired or a bridge-dweller than that guy.

Why do I need to bother though?

My position has been validated. Everything Ion said is what I have been saying, what he said was almost a summary of my entire position on this issue.

All I need do now is post that video in a hypothetical future discussion and leave it at that.

No more huge posts where I tackle people's points one by one.

    No more back and forth.

No more debate because there can be no more debate.

The issue is settled, the pro High Elf community position was not accepted.

You may post your threads, but when a blue closes them and moves your discussion to a single thread you will know it's just to contain the spam and doesn't mean support for your position.

    This is over.

The pro High Elf community has achieved a finality on this issue I never dreamed possible. I always thought Blizzard would leave things ambiguous forever.

I guess all those forums threads achieved something then.

And there have been ten thousand more things that people wanted to change that haven't. Just because things change doesn't mean all things will change inevitably.

But hey, whatever gives you hope, bro. Ion said the Alliance aren't getting them. As a Horde player, that's all I need. Godspeed.

The only difference is a color, otherwise it's the exact same model. It works, but the logic behind it is pretty flimsy actually.

Because I foresee Void Elves "regular" skins are going to be the next hot topic around in the near future as some form of middle ground, just like they were before the recent High Elven momentum, I am going to reply straight out to this.

As much as I'd like Void Elves to get such treatment, given that I believe HEs are not going to climb to the "all options are under consideration" yet again in the next 12 years (just quoting here the same amount of time that passed between the two major HE campaigns), and I definitely wouldn't want to wait quarter of a century to get anything out of a video game – this is exactly what Ion meant.

As you might imagine, we have a rather different point of view and preferences on this matter, you and I. Yet, Ion addressed specifically the appearance and classic theme of HEs that Blizzard is definitely not considering giving to the Alliance. Not the lore of the Silver Covenant, Alleria's Outland expedition or anything to that effect. He went out of his way to cite the "tall, blonde, strong and noble elf with blue eyes", whose image now belongs to the Horde.

In this context, giving Void Elves regular HE appearance would be the same as adding High Elves altogether. And we just learned their hard stance on the matter.

he, you could be one in one milion, but the marjory alwys follow this cliche, is like a rule, evrtyme the argumment falls to this

but bad options are not always better, the problem with forest trolls ogres and high elves is that forest trolls and ogres never became playable, high elves became

if we starting "puting options" like that, soon all races can be playable in all factions, then everything goes to shit

And you are right you could say we were once silver covenant elves who decided to be void elves..but again they are not high elves culture mannerisms backstory all vary drastically.
not much, when you realize elves, in general, are hypocrites, the silver covenant one is basically a terrorist group made to antagonize and kill their kin, with no reason at all, so, they could go to the void thing

Annd be are NOT the same as he. Years if cultural drift have torn them apart and in fact the he not taking the name be shoukd show just how different their ideology is.
BE are the same as HE, the only difference is politics now, and that most of HE are human worshipers

Tons of allied races look barely any different from their parents, yet the two that crossed factions seem to look a lot different. Geez, I wonder why this is so?

That is why i lost my faith in Ion.
His arrogance is not what would be expected by the spokesman of a game corporation. Today he was rude with the high elf fans, tomorrow he can be rude to other types of fans, including the anti elf fans.

They should habe inclusive speeches not mocking groups of their costumers. But this is the way ion interacts with the xomunity and blizzard chose him to do it, so blizzard must be prepaired for the pros and cons of having ion as their spokesman

Because what else would you do with so much time on your hands? I can only assume you don't have a job with how often I see you posting in High Elf threads so you gotta pass your time somehow. And besides we both know you wouldn't be able to post just once even if you tried, the troll blood that runs through your veins is too strong lol. Nah you will be posting in the threads, like I said, nothing will change so your welcome for giving you something to do with all your time.

A nice answer won't get this to stop - you've gotten 20 nice answers. He should have come down harder, but at least he pretty clearly shot the idea down.

    Insulting there, disrepctfuly here.

F**K THIS! people you make him answer this question THREE FU**ING TIMES! THREE! Even someone of his position have limits on patience. AND I AM SURE that he was autorized to answer like that by CEO

But using the argument they are too few to be playable is somewhat insulting as that was never an argument to dismiss an allied race. He could have said it with better arguments such as: releasing high elves after void elves is not what we intend for the story for now so we will leave this in stand by for now - or - blood elves and alliance high elves still do not fit in the model we are looking for, maybe in the future perhaps, but not now. His answer was inconsistent to what is ingame related to the silver covenant and that is why i say it is biased.
He didn't say there are too few to be playable, he said that there weren't very many. That could also be interpreted to mean that there aren't so many that they need to be playable.

Most of what he discussed was about the factions remaining distinct. It's the position I have always held on the topic, and all that is necessary for that to be a legitimate issue is for Blizzard to consider it when they make new races.

They don't look a lot different, unless you think a shade of color makes something massively different?
