As much as I'd like Void Elves to get such treatment, given that I believe HEs are not going to climb to the "all options are under consideration" yet again in the next 12 years (just quoting here the same amount of time that passed between the two major HE campaigns), and I definitely wouldn't want to wait quarter of a century to get anything out of a video game – this is exactly what Ion meant.
As you might imagine, we have a rather different point of view and preferences on this matter, you and I. Yet, Ion addressed specifically the appearance and classic theme of HEs that Blizzard is definitely not considering giving to the Alliance. Not the lore of the Silver Covenant, Alleria's Outland expedition or anything to that effect. He went out of his way to cite the "tall, blonde, strong and noble elf with blue eyes", whose image now belongs to the Horde.
In this context, giving Void Elves regular HE appearance would be the same as adding High Elves altogether. And we just learned their hard stance on the matter.
