It's possible they just wanted to focus on the Blood Elves and the Vanguard of the Light for that scenario.
I must admit, I do agree with their approach, for that specific and initial instance.
The High Elf Rangers wouldn't really fit that initial assault scenario. No doubt Auric will have a role to play at a time which makes sense.
Those high elf pilgrims as well; it's not as matter of them existing during the Quel'Delar questline, but it's more about, how important are they to the story now? Bear in mind, the last we saw them was 2010 and that was before the big events that deeply soured High Elf/Blood Elf relationships
something to chew on for high elf fans from the latest build
https://www.wowhead.com/beta/item=26...eldorei-medley
curios that they call it quel'dorei medley instead of say sin'dorei or thalassian medley
all the foods added in the build
Hearty Silvermoon Parade
Hearty Quel'dorei Medley
Hearty Rootland Celebration
Hearty Flora Frenzy
The Thalassian Range being added to Quel'Thalas in beta is very interesting. It's currently empty.
The space stretches from the Silverglade Refuge (new Silver Covenant High Elf outpost at the bottom left of Eversong Woods) all the way to the Scarlet Monastery. All that space behind Stratholme in a long strip is a significant little subzone, especially if they decided to extend it's borders out into the water. Extending the shore would be easy because there's nothing there but ocean.
In fannon for over a decade and then more recently in private servers, this spot has been built out as a High Elf subzone. Blizzard has to be aware of that and the speculation surrounding the location. Now, with Blizzard giving this range a Thalassian elf name, it would really make sense to build out this subzone as the home of the High Elves.

The Alliance gets the Horde's most popular race. The Horde should get the Alliance's most popular race in return. Alteraci Humans for the Horde!
I make Warcraft 3 Reforged HD custom models and I'm also an HD model reviewer.

They should give Void Elves more High Elven looking hairstyles, not just the ones that look messy and voidlike, maybe they should just give all hairstyles that Blood Elves have to Void Elves but give Void Elves more blueish kinda hair colour tints to fit with the High Elf theme.
any idea what that could mean?

this seems to me that it might relate to silver covenant elves and void elves.
this was part of the initial midnight build but i don't think this ever came up?
Nice to see that he's no longer lolneutral.
I'm a bid sad for Thaltressar. I wanted to meet him in Midnight.

Spoilers in this tweet, so be careful.
At this point not having High Elves feels like an insult. My view is either give us High Elves properly or sunset the race.

I am kinda upset to see that roofs of the blood elf house exteriors can be blue (the color is even called "high elf blue" in the settings), but they are faction locked. This means I won't be able to build a high elf house for my void elf. Blizzard is simply laughing at us.

That won't happen.
Ion has stated that they want all the races to have equal numbers of features, so you can't give all Blood Elf stuff + any new stuff to Void Elves as well because then that's an unfair balance.
The Sin'dorei, being a core race, should have very clear and staple features that are only available to them and not Velfs.
