Alliancebert had a toy like that when he was younger, but Hordey broke it while playing with his Forsaken playset. And mommy won't buy him another one even though Hordey was the one who broke it in the first place, because Hordey is the favorite child. Oh, and then their alcoholic father gave Alliancebert a black eye and he needed three stitches, and told the nurse he "fell down the stairs."

OMG 13:37 - Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Cleave unto me, and I shall grant to thee the blessing of eternal salvation."
And His disciples said unto Him, "Can we get Kings instead?"

I don't know how you can say there aren't enough high elves to be playable in a world where Lightforged and Void Elves exist and not be called ignorant, sorry. Don't know how you can argue they lack a monolithic theme to their culture, when Mag'har are being added in the fashion that they are, either.

I wonder. The suggestions are always to make the High Elves a new model. But what if that's the wrong route? Change the Blood Elf model to reflect the changes in the Sunwell. The golden eyes being the first step. Blood Elves got a upgraded mode. The High Elves get the then older model because they don't have the Sunwell, only altering the eye color to blue. Blood Elves could either stay the same, or be renamed to Sun Elves or High Elves, while the Alliance's High Elves got some other naming convention, or just Dalaran Elves for whatever reason.
That method give the present day Blood Elves an even better model, and more unique lore for themselves, while the High Elves are basically plain. The uninteresting elves that do mage and hunter stuff for the Alliance.
I was looking over the wiki page for the Grand Alliance it lists all the currently playable races and the two currently playable Allied Races. Than it lists its other races:
Wildhammer Dwarf
Dark Iron Dwarf
Highborne
Broken
High Elf
Frost Dwarf
Jinyu
Furbolg
(not listed: Kul'Tiran because they are considered to be "just humans".)
Unless something else is added to the game, those are the current major options for Allied Races for the Alliance. And if Ion's suggestion are taken without fail, that eliminates three of them completely (Wildhammer Dwarf, Highborne, and High Elf). But even then, you are looking at three dwarf factions in the Alliance. Three Draenei factions in the alliance (one being Broken). Three human faction (with one being Worgan), Night Elves, Gnomes, Jinyu, Pandaran, Void Elves, and Furbolg.
Meanwhile....you know what the Horde has listed as Other races?:
Ogre
Mag'har orc
Half-Ogre
Forest Trolls
Taunka
Hozen
Hobgoblin
Leper Gnomes
Of those, only Hozen and probably Hobgoblin are off the table (Hozen would take a lot of work to make playable, and I'm not sure if Hobgoblin is intelligent enough to be playable), with Ogre being in question due to size only. Plus they can easily have Leper Gnomes.
Looking down that list, Alliance basically has no options other than furb-- uh I mean hunchback Pandaren. Jinyu (which are lame anyway) have no females, and neither do Broken or even Frostborn dwarves (not that it would be hard to make them). Highborne are now "too similar" to Nightborne, and idk what they could do to justify unlock requirements for Wildhammer since we kinda already have their racial mount, and what would their heritage armor even be, an invisible shirt?

Exactly, wonder what "awesome" and "highly requested" races the Alliance will have going for it. The fact there's 3 variant of dwarves shows that the Alliance races are mostly shades of grey in regards to its races.
Something I've been trying to tell the Horde players, but they keep trying to apply Horde's "everything should be crazy different" mentality and themes to Alliance when the Alliance isn't like that at all.
Furbolg to me is interesting only if its the ones from Timbermaw Hold (they love me in that tunnel), as that is more or less the perfect place for the Night Elves and Alliance to fortify to keep the Horde from getting to Moonglade and Mt. Hyjal....by land at least.
When we looked at the relics of the precursors, we saw the height civilization can attain.
When we looked at their ruins, we marked the danger of that height.

You were right, @RangerDaz !
cication from "HE" discord (no screens mods!). Nice to see so economicaly intelegent elves there...They denied high elves. A race that would make them millions
plus daily stuff calling Ion names, etc. etc, he will leave, he will be fired... nothing new

the price of being "normal" faction (not ugly ones, stereotypical "bad guys") is high i guess

and honestly - yeah blizz maybe did a bad job showing "High elves" everywhere (but we must remember - no actuall numbers, and what if the squad we saw in Suramar and Pandaria are actually last of them eh?). And i hope they will be slowly forgotten and will be left only as noname NPC for warfronts (RTS style, sadly Aliance don't have race who can represent "powerfull mages")

@Traycor so good to see you again.
I SAID IT BEFORE BOYS AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN!
WE WILL NEVER SEE SUCH SUPPORT FOR A RACE OTHER THAN HIGH ELVES
Blizzard is the only company that could look at massive demand for something, and refuse.
Its why they're sinking.
This thread is going nowhere again.
