It's one of the big issues I have with wow lore, many of the cool things within the cultures are forgotten about as the main story moves on.

I wish they would have expanded on the rivalry between the Bloodknights and the Farstriders, but that arc has clearly been abandoned since BC.

It's one of the big issues I have with wow lore, many of the cool things within the cultures are forgotten about as the main story moves on.

I wish they would have expanded on the rivalry between the Bloodknights and the Farstriders, but that arc has clearly been abandoned since BC.

That's the thing, Farstriders have just fallen by the wayside in terms of relevance to BE themes, which is a shame since Elves were introduced to Warcraft through their rangers. It's a bummer no race is using Rangers as a cultural cornerstone.

blood elf rangers are featured in cataclysm in the zandalari invasion leaded by halduron (ranger), in MOP in the isle of thunder leaded by lorthemar (ranger) and in Legion in the hunter class hall leaded by halduron (again)

they have some focus in the elf society, just not much as the mages and the paladins due to the draenei fangirl, but they ahve

I see where you're going with this, but if you take what he said at face value, it's only a question of clarity. He said there's no good example of what High Elves are as a larger group, so the implication is that the Silver Covenant isn't a large group.

Well that's too bad. I want to play Draenei on the Horde side but I can't so I have to play alliance. Many people who played Alliance switched to Horde during TBC to play Blood Elves. If they had to do that to enjoy their favorite race what makes you more special than those people that you demand that Horde race on the Alliance side? Are you out of your minds? And please don't tell me it's lore. Lore is what Blizzard decide it is. They clearly decided that the High Elves join the Horde. So yeah stop wasting your time. High Elves are not happening no matter what. They already gave you Void Elves. You don't like it? Then play Horde. I don't like Nightborne as much as Night Elves? Then I play Alliance. Simple as that.

And this is the issue, the answer is an implication, rather than simply a clear answer that the Silver Covenant, despite somehow being a presence for 4 expansions, are a very small group.
