The Horde shouldn't have gotten the nightborne and the Alliance shouldn't have gotten void elves. They should've gotten the Mok'nathal and half-elves instead, two halfling races affiliated to two long-requested races on the two respective sides(ogres and high elves).
Both got two "asspull" elf versions established in Legion instead of something established. Void elves are everything the Alliance high elves aren't and are too controversial even for the blood elven society because they deal with the most corruptive power in the universe, whereas the nightborne are incapable coward night elves who hid behind a bubble for ten millenia and re-emerged as traitors to the entire world.

Should have known this would derail into a HE shill thread lmao
Even as an enormous proponent of the High Elves, I find this to be very unlikely.
Any individual who utilizes the Void for prolonged periods of time, traditionally, develops the same hallowed (i.e. pale, sickly) appearance -- and in this regard, Alleria is absolutely a deviation from the norm. The VE's would become much more lore-friendly if their blue- and purple-skinned options were removed entirely, replaced by variations which are specifically devoid of "normal" colors.
This being said, that Blizzard elected to just throw some color over existing textures and call it a new race, is hugely disappointing. Especially on the heels of Argus, wherein there were quite literally dozens of creatures that were corrupted by the Void and were, visually, quite striking to behold.
Example:
Just imagine something like this image, with the only options for skin-tone being sickly and pale, and the extremities utilizing the more striking "corruption" from the image above:
Honestly if I could make my velf look like Allura from Voltron I'd be a happy camper. TBH just a couple lighter hair colors like white and a desaturated/faded blond Is what I want.
I'm just not happy how your hair color can't be really higher in value than the skin tone. Pale velf's with dark hair look great, but any of the "lighter" hair colors just look flat.
I love this edit, but I do think they are basically a workaround to just be a high elf -which I'd be 100% with aesthetically, but yeah-
That being said- The hair color fade is one thing that I do believe would have looked 100% amazing. It would have given the velves a pop of color to break the monotony while showing the void corruption with the fade. So many artists draw their velves with a dark to white fade for example and it just looks great.
So basically, Blizzard needs to add some Brown Elves into the game (preferably Alliance).
And I agree with your hair color sentiment on current Void Elves, wish there was a more whiter/brighter silver hair color, as well as they should make that black hair color they advertised available.
People made a nice argument for high elves. Then the threads continued on to be complaining and bitching by both sides. Every time. Maybe that's a hint to stop making them. If all you can do is insult other people at this point for disagreeing, you've fucked up the discussion.
I mean, both hardcore sides do this so it's not like there's a discussion to be had between those types of people anyway.
This thread ain't about that though, whether there is talk of High Elves or not. It's more in the sense of "What's going to happen to the Silver Covenant"
But it seems neither the antis nor the pros can discuss that without showcasing the disdain one has for the other, as usual.
I had the same idea not too long ago as well. It seems logical that Vereesa will stick with her older sister and create a coalition of High Elves/Void Elves. However the one thing that made me reevaluate the idea was that I didn't know if Vereesa would really be down with the whole void thing.
I honestly couldn't care less about a gathering of people who can't take reality and cry for "a long time". Crying for a long time for something does not earn you the right to it. Now that is stupid as fuck. People annoyed that the belfs are being "mutated" to please a vocal crowd is far from stupid and it is, in fact, pretty reasonable. But you fellas don't do "reasonable".
I think this comment is just as stupid. It's basically "my side is reasonable but yours ain't" which can come from both sides. And yes it is very dumb to be upset at something that doesn't affect a character you can already and have been playing.
This is like a person who is making millions complaining that someone else is able to drive the same $200k car they've saved up to buy. "IT SHOULD ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO ME AND MY SOCIAL CLASS" are how people who main BEs sound when complaining about VEs.
If anything, BE players should be happy they worked on Void Elves because of that they got Gold Eyes and Male BE mouth fixes/Bow animation fixes for free.
It's like... can you guys stop making up these moronic stories in your heads to justify something that is not near reasonable neither justifiable.
Call it for what it is - whining, there's only been whining, there have been no compromises, no understandings... nothing. Just a long fucking whine since BC to this point. That is not reasonable and it's not justifiable. Just a cryfest that has gone on for so long that some people got the wrong idea that they are owed something for simply fucking whining a lot. Get over yourselves.
Yeah! The black hair looks great on the NPC's we have seen it it is really a shame we don't have it, tho I do think the darker hair colors are very close to dark in value, even tho they are not in hue.
TBH, it's kinda silly that hair colors for all races are so limited, we literally go to the hairdresser to dye our hair of different colors, but we can't choose anything outside the natural coloring? lol

Unless you somehow have the power to make people stop caring about High Elves, what are you even trying to accomplish here? Like seriously, the whining for High Elves is not gonna stop so no need to add your own insufferable whining.
Just as people that want HE have no power to make it happen, you have no power to make people not want them anymore. So do what's actually best for you and move on man.
Calling any request a whine does virtually nothing so I'm not even sure what you're trying to get at really. Just because people ask for something doesn't mean they expect to get it, but when people ask for something for hella long and then get an obvious curveball it's not surprising for people to vent/get upset.
Again, you calling it whining doesn't do anything. The HE threads have stopped, but people just love to shit on things is what I'm seeing from here even after it's been dealt with.
