I think if you are a blood elf fanboy and you want to criticise the Alliance you should just go the boring route and talk about Garithos or the Purge of Dalaran.

Oh, you mean all those battles that had zero gameplay influence? All those battles in which we did not see, and will never see the conclusion of, or its consequences?
What did the Alliance get out of Siege of Orgrimmar? Nothing. Orgrimmar still stands pristine and clean as if it never happened.
What did the Alliance get out of Stormheim? Nothing. The Alliance gained nothing from it.
What did the Alliance get out of Arathi Basin? Nothing. The Alliance gained nothing from it.
What did the Alliance get out of Darkshore? Nothing. The zone is still in ruins and it'll forever cycle back-and-forth between Horde and Alliance.
What did the Alliance get out of Battle of Dazar'Alor? Nothing. The zone still stands pristine and clean as if it never happened.
All that you mentioned over there were background victories. That we were told by developers on Twitter or in books, or, at best, passing mentions in a quest.
If the whole of Warcraft was a story, the Horde would be the main protagonist, and the Alliance would be the supporting character that exists in the story to mostly prop up the protagonist.
Malfurion? Pimp-slapped around by Sylvanas, then fell when his back got caressed by an axe. Also, the Alliance gets ALL of the OP characters. Any time the Horde gets one, they're mocked relentlessly as being unbelievable Mary Sues (Thrall, Sylvannas) when the Alliance LITERALLY HAS MALFURION STEWRAGE, JAINA SUEMORE, AND TYRANDE WHISPERSUE.
Jaina? All her alleged "OP-ness" amounted to nothing useful other than floating a boat and freezing a poison mist.
Tyrande? All her alleged "goddess-blessed OP-ness" and still could barely hold her own against a simple hunter empowered by a single val'kyr.
Yeah... super OP characters.

Oh, look at you, being wrong again, despite the many times you've been told you're wrong.
Would it really hurt that much to engage in honest conversation, and not make such blatant strawman of people's positions?
"Torturing someone is not an evil thing to do if it is done for good reasons" by Varodoc
"You sit in OG/SW waiting on a Mythic+ queue" by Altmer <- Oh, the pearls in this forum...

People are ignoring this but it's exactly as I said.
They implanted Void Elf Eyes onto Blood Elves? I'm not sure Blizzard is planning to do that.
Especially with how vocal ~someone~ has been in the thread about preserving faction wall and faction identity.
Why would it be ok for Blood Elves to receive Void Elf customizations and then not vice versa?
I will toss you HE fans a bone and point out that the blue eyes are unique in that they, and they alone, do not appear in heterochromatic variants with the other eyes.

The update of the high-elf female NPC model is underway in the alpha.

I can already guess the answer of that someone : Void Elves are just an offshoot of Blood Elves, so what they have, Blood Elves must have (like the beards). But what Blood Elves have must not cross on the other way, see ? Because "faction integrity" or something stupid like that.
Because refusing to give the Alliance something which has been a staple of its existence since at the very least WotLK (and in fact since Classic, since we did interact with a surprising number of High Elves NPC) is totally defending faction integrity. Somehow.
What makes it also up in the air is that Blizzard utilizes file names with bloodelf for high elf npcs (because in coding it's easier to organize files that way).
I think like someone said it's better to wait until the options are applied to character creation before coming to a forgone conclusion.
They can still give Blood Elves blue eyes as some options are clearly a shade of blue Void Elves do not have, those would be the ones I see going onto Blood Elves if blue eyes are coming.
That said, I do not think they would simply implant the Void Elf eye color as an option to Blood Elves. It just opens the flood gates even more of "if they can have this option why can't we?"
And if you are someone trying to sell the idea that differences matter, the last thing you want to do is start adding things shared between two races that have the same model.
That is irrespective of whether one race is an offshoot of the other.
And as I said long before: Blizzard is not going to treat Allied Races like 2nd class citizens. Which means I do not think they would say "BE are a core race so they can pick and choose what they get but Void Elves cannot".
That's going to marginalize a large portion of players who not only play VE but those who play other AR if Blizzard comes out with that sentiment. And as people like to tout Void Elves has being a massive success, that means it would take a shit on a massive portion of the playerbase.
It's sad that High Elves are no more, just like Broken; Oh well, at least the slot can be reserved for Lightbound Orc instead.

Oh well, be it racist as it may be but - didn't Ion himself say "fair skinned elf - Blood Elf?"
The Alliance gets the Horde's most popular race. The Horde should get the Alliance's most popular race in return. Alteraci Humans for the Horde!

What is with all the new colours for Blood Elves? Is this just a shallow attempt at inclusivity and virtue signaling? Or has something been retconned with Elven physiology?

Looks like now with blue-eyed customization for BEs, Blood and High elf are identities as they always were, just that most high elves were uncorrupted (except Summoner Nolric had to have been, lorewise, as a high elf warlock trainer), and most blood elves were corrupted (but some exceptions like the blacksmith in Isle of Thunder). I can easily see high elf pilgrims to the Sunwell identifying more with their homeland than humans on the other side of the continent and would prefer to live in Quel'thalas, and joining their people. In Lor'themar's short story, he had a tizzy with Halduron I think where they said something along the lines of "they can't join unless they also join the Horde" or something like that, which would imply that they would accept blue-eyed elves who wanted to serve Quel'thalas and its interests again.
Blood Elves are elves who are still in Quel'thalas doing stuff for their people, and High Elves are elves who didn't feel any real connection to their people and didn't care when Kael'thas ordered all elves to return to Quel'thalas, and chose to remain with their human friends.
Still not getting it, is it about the skin colour? You talking about skin colour right? Or is it the blue eyes?
If skin colour. Personally I think that's fine... its fantasy after all. And there was a dark skinned elf in lore, so this just makes it more official. I do think it can also be an attempt as inclusivity, but its done in a way that makes sense. Blood Elves, most notably the Sin'Dori have been seen to have darker skin tones.
On a side note I doubt people are going to be having an open minded discussion about this... :P
My only complaint about this is with the humans getting proper facial representation regarding diversity, they have now moved their blackface black on white bodies tone to the blood elves. make real Asian elves make real black elves, don;t give us black on white bodies like the classic black humans were. I love what they have done with representation with the humans but I want to see the same done with the elves. :P

The high elves are a fictional race that already have lore behind them, and how their eyes work. They have often been described as fair skinned, which tends to be quite pale, so what can change the colour of their skin is something new, or something that needs to be retconned. We have seen that skin can change because of being exposed to the void, and we have seen that exposure to fel can cause the skin to darken, this is seen with Demon Hunters.
So are the darker colours from heavy exposure to fel? Perhaps they are part human, which resulted in genetic changes?
As for your complaint, you can't have Asian elves, or other forms, because that's comparing a race that isn't real, to human standards. The elves don't develop the same way humans do. That said, you don't even have Asia in the WoW world, so having Asian humans doesn't make much sense either, humans come from the titans, but we can relate more to humans because we are human.
