Is it really so hard to paint Void elves in 2/3 different tones of pink and call it a day?
Is it really so hard to paint Void elves in 2/3 different tones of pink and call it a day?
Given that the entire point of Void Elves is that they are elves corrupted by the void, well, yes. Leaving aside the deliberate infringement on the identity of the Blood Elves (which defeats the entire point of making Void Elves in the first place), that is just an attempt to turn Void Elves into something they aren't. That is not fair to Void Elves or those players who are intrigued by the void fantasy offered by Void Elves. The Void Elf customisation pass should be spent leaning into the void fantasy rather than trying to sate a crowd whose next demands would likely be unique racials, emotes and the Paladin class.
Also, it's an admission that what you want is a fair skinned elf rather than an Alliance loyal elf. The aesthetic in other words, not the lore. As always proves to be the case.
If you want the Blood Elf aesthetic, the Horde is waiting for you as the game director himself said.
If it's not that big a deal I invite you to enjoy the Void Elf as is.
And it is perfectly unfair to Void Elves, it is diluting their established theme and fantasy for no good reason other than the aesthetic desired by some is that of their parent race.
Void Elves should be voidy.
Maybe so, but the choice remains as it has been. If you want to play a traditional high elf, the Horde is there for you with the Blood Elves (and possibly soon with the long coveted blue eyes). If you cannot stomach the Horde, the Alliance has a variant of their own that is close but clearly identical.
Either way you have a choice. To reject both is also to make a choice, but that is your decision.
The request continues, and will continue until Alliance players get to play as this part of their faction.

I've never really been for or against high elves on the Alliance, but having read several of the recent pages, i think i have to chuck my support behind high elves on the alliance for one single reason. To rub it in the face of this unbearably toxic obelisk guy.
That and more options are better IMO, especially since "faction identity" is somewhat of a pathetic case to make in 2020.

Sylvanas is what you get when you cross Joffrey Baratheon with a mary sue. Change my mind. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nice headcanon but we're talking about facts. Vereesa had her seperate army, next to the Kaldorei camp. She was working with the Night elves, not working under their responsibility.
No one cares about Elisande.
Then maybe you should do the Purge of Dalaran for the first time of your life. You have no clue of what you're talking about

Vereesa never hated working with night elves....?

I'm curious about why people think this needs to be a thing?
Is having the same amount of races per faction with access to a class such an important thing? Cause i'm pretty sure such "balance" does not exist in the game for several classes, and god forbid an alliance originating class is more common on the alliance.

I mean, she didn't say she hates them or working with them. She just said she wasn't expecting that. She's a high elf, high elves have probably heard of night elves only in legends before the Third War, so it's not that weird.
They absolutely don't. The original batch of allied races had 1 paladin race for Alliance and 0 for Horde.
that's where the Alteraci Human needs to come in

everyone else told me that "desperate times desperate measures" indicate her frustration of them when I told them of the supposed friendship of the Night Elves and High Elves

It really doesn't change what I said. "Desperate measures" can just mean "extreme measures". Teaming up with a race that you didn't even know existed 10 years ago is pretty extreme.
Imagine still thinking that an Allied race on the Alliance would work like a neutral race like Pandaren ROFLMAO
No, why, do you decide these things or something? Are you a wow developer or something? Have you forgot that paladins are the iconic Alliance class and shaman the Horde one? I don't want to debate that but you can see how it is not a black and white thing and depends on perception, so nice opinion I think.Keep in mind horde will need to be compensated with a brand new paladin race.
I'm also thinking on the other hand those Night Elves on Tyrande's camp just happen to be the Night Elf supremacists but Vereesa is still friends with Tyrande
