Yeah, good for you guys. Pretty sure they were making that option for options sake, but it seems they do care a bit about lore, acknowledging that there are blue eyed High Elves(not Void Elves who are former Blood Elf)that are Alliance aligned and want to keep a cosmetic difference as well, no matter how little it is. In the bigger context it's still important even in blizzards eyes to keep them different. Good for Blood Elves as well. Wouldn't feel 100% right to have blue eyes when thats not their identity. Though red eyes would be much appreciated!

And good on those whos been in you guys faces lately trying to rub it in. Now, just don't fall into the same trap

The same thing occurred with us hearing about dark skin on Blood Elves. It was from a Twitter post where it said "I heard from a friend on the floor that dark skin Blood Elves are coming" and while it may be datamining still, that appears to have been true.

So what's your point here?

Like I said, they would never let High Elves get in the way of freshly released Void Elves - the focus was 'hey look at these guys we just came out with'.

And the focus atm now is on the traditional races as Ion said. But he also said character customization isn't ever going to end and is an ongoing process as they want people to have lots of different options to express themselves.

And while it may not be on their priority list right now, High Elf request is going to stay the most stark request until it's granted. It really is just a matter of time now.

The likeliest result of this information is

1.)Void Elves retain the blue eye colours and they are unique to them

2.) Blood Elves retain the human range skin tones and they are unique to them.

3.) High Elves are never added as a distinct option for the Alliance.

4.) Ion loses his job and becomes the legendary flea man of Bee Canyon Wash.

Lol, I honestly think the whole topic of High Elves over on the official forums is what made them see there's a big difference that exists.

This is why I said ever since Ion's Q&A comment, no WoW developer has ever parroted that phrase. Even Ion himself didn't parrot his previous answer, despite him saying in the Q&A that 'blue eyes...sorry the horde is waiting for you' bit.

It appears internally, after they saw what the High Elf community presented, they've never once continued to say High Elf fans should go play Blood Elves.

I don't want to give you false hope but all datamined races (except tauren) have had their body customization options (body / face tattoos included).
All that is missing is the customization options for the "head", hairstyles, faces, jewelry ect ... humans were the first to have the addition in the new build.

So I don't think the blood elves will have the high-elf farstrider customization option, they received body jewelry instead.

They said that new customisation will come every patch.

Also, I am more of magister fan so I prefer jewelry.

Oh really ? I'm pretty much aware of it, since I was the first to speak about them in August 18.

Void elves' eyes are not really blue. Not as blue as the eyes we're getting with the Night elves and the Void elves

He didn't say that, just as plenty of Blood Elves keep their green eyes for the time being, so the few remaining exiles probably retain their blue. But it's all a matter of time in the end.
