The amount of SEETHING from the Horde/Belf fanboys is hilarious. All those months (if not years) spent snidely claiming only Belves will get blue eyes and Velves will just be purple/blue skinned. Of course now here comes the cope, "b-b-but it still says Void Elf so you d-didn't win!"

Both sides have been and are so petty.

Given Void Elves were always a variant of high elf, and still are, that is unsurprising.

Hey guys remember when Ion said blue eyes on blood elves didn't make sense?

Ion also said bear and cat forms as dinosaurs wouldn't make sense.

I'm mad because they're happy about it? Don't presume to speak in regards how I feel. Moreover, my signature is about people and they're backlash towards blizzard when they were responsible for their own hype building. If you're going to try and dissect what's in my signature, perhaps you can do so accurately? Or is that asking too much?

People bitched and whined that painting VE's wasn't enough and that it wouldn't be acceptable. Now it's a big win. Observing that and stating that isn't being mad about something, it's pointing out facts. Hell I even congratulated them on their supposed win and wished them happiness in the feature they're getting. Yet I'm mad? xD

That's some next level mental gymnastics you're trying to do there. Void elves are still void elves. You still can't be Paladins, you have velfs racials, no blond hair.

The actual HIGH ELVES are horde now.

I'm sure you helfers are over the moon despite all the lore crap that was spouted in this thread. But that doesnt' change the fact that what you wanted is now on the Red Side, even more enforced now that belves got blue eyes.

The only thing is the paladin class (which isn't intrinsically High Elf in the first place, just tied to them through the Silver Hand) and even then it makes sense that an elf that chooses to join with the void elves wouldn't be allowed to practice light stuff.

This is funny considering that there's a dude in this thread repeatedly spamming that there wasn't a 'win' because Void Elves are still called Void Elves. In the spirit of that, Blood Elves are still Blood Elves.

For real though dude let it go. This is pitiful to read. Also if they give Void Elves Paladins and Blood Elf hair colors you're going to look even dumber. Just quit.

There were High Elven Paladins pre-WC3, just so you know. If anyone can be a warrior and can be a priest - they can be a paladin as long as they're not Undead

Doesn't seem that way. Nor vice versa. We'll have to see what stuff looks like in the upcoming build.

Well tried but Thalassian elves are neutral now. And High elves mean nothing now.

This is all about Alliance elves and Horde elves now.

I don't see it that way. For two years I've been told that Void Elves weren't good enough and the reason I was given was that they weren't the Silver Covenant and that they COULDN'T be the High Elves desired because they were messing with dangerous void magics and real high elves wouldn't use that kind of magic. Now, Void Elves get those normal skin tones. And hallelujah, what a surprise, it turns out that them not being the Silver Covenant and that they are still up to their eyeballs in void magic counts for nothing.

Wrong? This is vindication. It really was all about the skin tone all along. If the complaints regarding the lore, the complaints of substance were true, the people looking for high elves would be rioting. That they aren't proves Void Elves as a concept were always fine, it was merely the look.

But the end result holds. A stand alone high elf allied race that can be a Paladin isn't happening. What the Alliance has is what it has always had, Void Elves.
