Im SO happy about theese news.
If they add blonde hair as well im sold.
A paladin would be a + too, but I would gladly accept being a lock or a priest
If you were playing belf SP, sure.
That's some next level mental gymnastics you're trying to do there. Void elves are still void elves. You still can't be Paladins, you have velfs racials, no blond hair.
The actual HIGH ELVES are horde now.
I'm sure you helfers are over the moon despite all the lore crap that was spouted in this thread. But that doesnt' change the fact that what you wanted is now on the Red Side, even more enforced now that belves got blue eyes.
What part of the High Elf identity is the Belf mana tap racial?
The only thing is the paladin class (which isn't intrinsically High Elf in the first place, just tied to them through the Silver Hand) and even then it makes sense that an elf that chooses to join with the void elves wouldn't be allowed to practice light stuff.
This is funny considering that there's a dude in this thread repeatedly spamming that there wasn't a 'win' because Void Elves are still called Void Elves. In the spirit of that, Blood Elves are still Blood Elves.
For real though dude let it go. This is pitiful to read. Also if they give Void Elves Paladins and Blood Elf hair colors you're going to look even dumber. Just quit.
Both factions get basically the same option and they still find a way to bicker over it because they're more interested in cringy online faction tough guy point scoring contests.
Never ever change.
Do the void elves get blood elf haircuts?
The Alliance gets the Horde's most popular race. The Horde should get the Alliance's most popular race in return. Alteraci Humans for the Horde!
I make Warcraft 3 Reforged HD custom models and I'm also an HD model reviewer.
Am I crazy, or is all the new void elf/blood elf customization news off topic here?
I mean, void elves and blood elves aren't high elves so why are we talking about their hair colors and skin tones?
I don't see it that way. For two years I've been told that Void Elves weren't good enough and the reason I was given was that they weren't the Silver Covenant and that they COULDN'T be the High Elves desired because they were messing with dangerous void magics and real high elves wouldn't use that kind of magic. Now, Void Elves get those normal skin tones. And hallelujah, what a surprise, it turns out that them not being the Silver Covenant and that they are still up to their eyeballs in void magic counts for nothing.
Wrong? This is vindication. It really was all about the skin tone all along. If the complaints regarding the lore, the complaints of substance were true, the people looking for high elves would be rioting. That they aren't proves Void Elves as a concept were always fine, it was merely the look.
But the end result holds. A stand alone high elf allied race that can be a Paladin isn't happening. What the Alliance has is what it has always had, Void Elves.
I know belvs are still belves. Im just making a point since helfers are goign crazy over the aesthetics when all they wanted was the lore. Pure hypocrisy or lack of self awareness after today.
Also velves will never be paladins just as Forsaken can't be paladins for obvious reasons.
There is no win here. There are no alliance high elves. What the alliance wanted is still horde only. Anything else is just flexing your brain cells, but that wont last long. Just like how helf fans went nuts when velves were first announced only to quickly turn around and hate on blizz for a half-assed compromise.
Velves are still velves.
Blood elves still hold the true uncorrected lore and aesthetic that helfers wanted. GG
Do you think the void elves will soon become the most played allied race?
If it can repopulate the alliance a bit, it's cool.![]()
Hopefully somebody remembers this when they add Paladin to the class. That'll be humorous.
It's silly to make any kind of authoritative statements regarding what Blizzard will or won't do. They do whatever they want and justify it after the fact. We wouldn't be in this situation right now if they made lore based decisions.
I feel kind of weird having to point this out but you do realize everything Blood Elves have lore-wise is also a Void Elf thing right? Like they're an off-shoot. Every single thing that happened to the Sin'dorei happened to the Ren'dorei. They have the exact same history. They are the same people split by politics. You look ridiculous.
By the way there were plenty of people that would've settled for lighter skin tones on Void Elves instead of High Elves. Unless you're going to cite specific cases it's hard to really cite hypocrisy here.

That would make sense if velves and belves were the same EXACT race....
With that logic, NB, LFD are the same race as their original counter parts.
Just give it time, the "high" will fade and the same empty feeling will come back when you realize you still don't have what you want despite how many mental hurdles you jump over.
