I'm here dieing for a good blood/iron relic and yet the last 3 chests gave me shadow relics... the last one reducing my Evasion CD. Why the fuck is this even a trait for rogues?!

32% and then 37% with eoc on target.
I havnt checked sims in a while(playing has slowed down), but last time checked up on relics, 2nd master ass was a loss with certain combinations and neutral with others, and third was a large increase. That was before balanced blades was buffed through the roof
Sim default is for 600 seconds. The only fight in Antorus that lasts longer than that is Argus. No other fight really gets close to that full 10 minutes. Have to check your raid's average kill time to determine the right sim time. This might be worth some time comparing your sim on different times to determine which is better.
Obviously MA x3 will always be a bit stronger on those very long fights.
Obviously there are some times in which Mass x3 is best because that is what the sim shows with default settings. But there are some times in which it will not give you an extra cast or a full-length last cast. For all-around I think balanced blades might be better since it's not like you can just swap your relics around depending on the fight.
There are also some fights like Imonar where if the timings are funny one way or another you will have downtime where vendetta can be cast but you are still in bridge phase. I you manage to get it timed perfectly you will be running on the bridge while vendetta is on CD.
I was thinking about this in particular around Kin'goroth since I want to bump up to an orange parse on it. It appears most people doing well pool to ensure that they always have vendetta up. I have tried it both ways, though mistakes on the correct approach limited how much I did. We just got our second Argus kill after a long extension and then like ~3 weeks of trying to get a rekill so I have not had that much time to try to improve my parses.
Since I have not run a bunch of different times yet I am just going to guess that balanced blades 2x Mass 1x 3x Malchemist will be a more consistent performer with the diversity of kill times. Doesn't probably matter enough unless you are just gunning for all orange parses but it's interesting to think about nonetheless.
This is why I literally don't do anything in the game anymore. It's just RNGcraft.
Doesn't the loot that comes from the weekly chest come from whatever the mythic + dungeons you completed that week? I'm not sure myself.
Never did quite understand that. Do you mean it's a dps loss compared to an optimal setup, or just a dps loss no matter what? Seems counter-intuitive to me that if i'm replacing a purely defensive trait (to take an extreme example) with a second MA (i.e. 4 extra seconds off the Vendetta cd) that that should result in an actual dps loss, as opposed to simply an insignificant dps gain.
As always, looking forward to being enlightened.
it was a dps loss as compared to other dps traits. it was some weird math that had to do with 6+4+4 being a much larger dps increase over 6+4. 8 additional seconds of cd reduction was stronger proportionally than 4 seconds(vs the cd). It mathed out that you should either use 1x master ass relic or 3x, and 2x was dps neutral or a loss as compared to other traits.
Took me a while to wrap my mind around it for some reason. Thankfully, energy gen now is such that master ass relics are less essential (when using boots) than they used to be. Not to mention the huge buffs we got in response to the PK thing that helped shift relic priorities.
