Sue his own team? Blizzard fined for 1k, Fusion fined him the rest, actually inform yourself, same goes for everyone else posting about how Blizzard can't get away with this etc.
Also it's definitely racist, again inform yourself and stop making bold claims like "this is not racist".

I'm not korean and I'm not actually offended but this is pretty much on par with blackfacing no?
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

this is definitely racist
I could understand if EQO pulled his eyes back and started talking about pork fried rice & a wonton soup and having a tiny dick in broken english, but it was just a simple gesture. I think that what irritates me the most about political correctness is how fucking vague the definition of what is and isn't acceptable seems so open to interpretation.
I am probably making it into a bigger deal than EQO ever wanted it to be, but it is just so frustrating to see people be so sensitive about everything these days.
As for the Ugandan Knuckles thing... I feel like if all you see is racism when you look at it rather than a bunch of kids from the internet memeing, the problem is probably you =/
As for me being racist, I am just not going to respond to that. That's a pretty fucked up thing to say and I don't appreciate it.
Exactly. It was a simple gesture, that is also simply racist. It doesn't have to be over the top "lynch the nigger!" levels of racism to be racist. It's a racist caricature by itself.
It has nothing to do with being sensitive, and everything to do with EQO being INsensitive. I mean he's bloody Hispanic! The dude should fucking know what's racist and what's not, because most likely he's been on the receiving end of racism a LOT since your most recent election.
Please, tell me more about how imitating a fake "African" accent, clicking randomly (imitating the ! sound in several African languages), and saying ebola is somehow not racist. Yea, it's a meme. Memes can be racist.
If you think racist things are fine, that makes you a racist. Your (great?) grandparents were probably cool with segregated schools, churches, washrooms, public transportation, and even fucking water fountains. Guess what? That made them racist, because they were fine with the existence of explicitly racist things. This is no different, only more stupid because you should have learned from their mistakes.
Cheerful lack of self-preservation
Blizzard sets terms and conditions. It is onthe people who sign the contracts to abide by them. He made a racist comment, whether people believe he did or not, and in an attempt to be funny about it made it a joke. That doesn't make it right.
If you are someone who has to behave professionally for work, then act professional. He could have easily answered the topic without making it a joke and pointing out racist tropes by pulling his face to make his eyes slanted.
If he wants to joke and be racist in private settings with his friends and family, that's his business; but to willfully break terms about codes of conduct in a public setting, no less being recorded, then he's going to be penalized for it.
The thing a lot of people aren't realizing, is that by trying to defend him and blame Blizzard, you are basically stating it's okay to be racist to a degree, or completely.
It was racist. Probably not the MOST racist thing in the world but it definitely was some level of racist. I guess in the future he will negotiate a contract that lets him be sort of racist.
Blizzard has a very low tolerance for racism because they are a triple A company with a diverse audience.

I dunno, last time I saw someone pull their eyes it was two 5 year olds in an asian restaurant who started singing, "We are chi-a-niese if you please..." and I immiediately started waving my hands frantically and saying, "No! That's not appropriate! Stop!" to my daughter and her friend.
So even my a five year old learned that pulling your eyes and saying you are chinese is not acceptable, this guy isn't five so he should of known there are things you don't do even if you didn't mean to seem racist.
If I was doing something that got my face muddy I would be in the wrong to say, "Look, blackface! Now I'm black!" isn't right even if I was Dolezal who really wished she was born black.
If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.
In today's society someone is going to be upset somewhere by literally anything and everything someone says. Not sure when it became "acceptable" to be so soft.

All racism is a meme by definition: 1 : an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture.
Ugandan knuckles makes me laugh b/c it's so wacky and the originating concept was not meant to be hurtful as I believe it was just making fun of a specific movie... However, they literally make the stereotypical clicking noises, speak in an accent, and play on tropes at this point. It's incredibly racist. So while there is certainly a dialogue to be had around intent and how that plays a part in memes being overtaken by racism, this is not that.
And it's not fucked up to call you racist. It's just shocking for you to hear how openly racist you are when you can't see it.
In any case, I still think this is an overreaction and the way they police their players is a bit crazy to be honest. It comes with the nature of having their competitors lives in front of cameras 24/7. If we had cameras on NFL or NBA players 24/7, most of them would be in jail. Blizzard rules their league like a dictator and it makes me not want to support them in more than just not watching OWL.
BAD WOLF
i'm not even going to bother reading that
Quote splitting + SJW = Trolling Guaranteed
You heard it here first folks, EQO is preparing his concentration camps for all the asian people
That's not an accusation you just throw around at people, especially over something so petty. Being a racist is a pretty terrible thing to be accused of with this day and age's mob mentality - it's just as bad as calling a black person a nigger.
It's not OK to just casually toss out accusations like that.
Well, there's no such thing as race...so...
