Should Blizzard fix the loading screens for widescreen

Prior to Legion, all the loading screens are not wide screen supported and look really weird on widescreen. Do you think Blizzard should update all the loading screens for the older expansions? or do you think its just a waste of time?

When people worry about loading screens you know your game is flawless

You would think there would be pictures in the first post about this problem? Because I have no idea what he is talking about.

Old world stuff has still 4:3 loading screens and looks extremely shaby on modern 16:9 or similar aspect ratio.

Nah too much work for Blizz. Just imagine - you have to crop concept art, you have to move logo, then you have to save result. Incredible amount of work.
I wouldn't say it would cost you a raid tier but it definetely will cut out 1-2 dungeons.
Why you think the Net was born? Porn! Porn! Porn!

Of course. I think it is time to update the images, too.

    it is not that simple
    why?
because they dont have the loading screen stuff of the old maps without that logo, legit look for it, doesent exist.

also wtf why is legion the only expansion loading screen that does not show the world map on it?
every expansion contientn shows the map, but not legions.

Pre-legion loading screens are 1:1 textures (512x512, 1024x1024), newer loading screens use 2:1 textures (2048x1024). In all honesty, all of them look meh when they're scaled to fit actual screen resolutions, but they can't do much about it anyway.

I believe your sarcasm actually points us to a different thing that Blizzard should actually tackle: The incredibly hard-moving, bulky and cumbersome structure of the WoW dev team.

Especially class-balance should be something that is done almost weekly.

Just went on my mage and teleported around the old expansions. All the loading screen just had black bars on the side. Honestly I dont mind that.

Been thinking that as well, no excuse not to have them in 7680×4320 so they scale down well and are future proof.

    Waste of time.

They should just put the loading screens in a folder and allow people to replace them with whatever image they want.

It looks fine for most images. Bars on sides don't ruin it. There are some rare exceptions, such as dwarf on gryphon image that loads when zone doesn't have its own loading screen, but the rest are fine.

Waste of time that would cost us a raid tier.

I noticed that a year ago when i was taking screenshots of the loading screens for Steam, the old loading screens have 2 big black spaces on the left and right

Not a huge deal, but if they find some extra time I think new widescreen and higher resolution art for the loading screens would be great. Many of the Classic and TBC loading screens look very dated - not just in terms of their width but also their image quality.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

    Don't stress!

This will be on their top 10 (20/30/40...) to do list.

I thought they just had big black bars on either side, nothing ever looked off to me that I recall
