Technically, you're measuring the age of "WoW-gamers who go onto mmo-c forums, and are willing to partake in polls." A lot of the player-based doesn't even have an active account on this site.

OT: I'm 34, and I started about 5-6 months after vanilla went live. I've taken time off from the game that probably adds up to 2-3 years, in sum.

The results are exactly how I'd imagine. Most current WoW players are ones that have some sort of nostalgia for it (played before WOTLK), and I'd imagine the average player age has gone up plenty since vanilla.
