Who was your worst teacher growing up.

We have all had a bad teacher or two growing up. Thought it would be interesting to share stories of our worst teacher and what they did to earn that title in our book. I will start off with my worst teacher.

Mine was my 3rd grade teacher. She had a nasty habit of lacking any form of tact with how to treat kids in a proper way. This lead to an incident that still irks me to this day. We were moving around our desks to no locations and it came time to move my desk. My teacher then told me where to take it. However, the kid I was assigned to sit beside didn't like that. They said they didn't want to sit by me. My teacher then asked why, to which they replied that they found me annoying. Now, being the tactless woman she was, she then proceeded to ask the entire class, who else found me annoying. Much to the dismay of 3rd grader me, most of them raised their hands. So she decided to tell them to deal with it and if I started to annoy them, to tell her.

That is the worst teacher I ever had the displeasure of having. What are some of yours?

It would probably be the teacher who taught us that humans have ten pairs of ribs, and when my mother (who worked in the medical field) asked him why, he said, "Because ten is easier to remember than twelve."

Any teacher that made me do a presentation in-front of the class. I had and still have no problem making a prat of myself VOLUNTARILY, but make me do something out of my comfort zone and I'll hate you forever. Even to this day I hate speaking or doing anything to large groups just because you tell me to, if I want to answer I will, if I don't then pick somebody else to play jester for your amusement.

My grade school teachers were alright, but I did have one college teacher who ended up being a drunk, and he skipped teaching half our classes. And the ones he did teach were pretty bad.

We ended up getting a free pass on that class.

When I was young I went to numerous private schools in Malaysia during my Primary years. One such school had a sadistic cunt of a [Malay] teacher, who thought Melayu, that had the tendency of pinching students' ear lobes till blood was drawn with her long nails... that, and also whacking HARD held out fingers with the edge of a ruler.

Bet she got pleasure out of abusing kids. Honestly, had I met her in my later years I wouldn't have hesitated to punching her lights out... woman be damned, she was an evil bitch that deserves worse.

Perhaps she's the reason why I've been awful at languages...

my senior year highschool math teacher. Royal bitch, would forget to assign homework then treat you like you should have done it anyways, did not make adjustments for kids being legitimately sick, would test on stuff she did not teach, and just generally treated us badly.

Got to the point where several kids transfered out of the class to another teacher, and I would have too if it didnt conflict with my computer elective class. So I went from an A student in Math the previous years to a C. She was not invited to any school functions as a result, and was let go (or left on her own) a few years later.

10th grade math teacher.. no mater what i did the work was never good enough, my mother thought it was me... until my mother her realized yeah she had me singled out for some reason and that she was a piss poor teacher. i passed with a B or C thankfully but god that woman was awful.

2nd place would be Biology teacher that's way of teaching was going over questions/answers that could be on the test... which is not teaching imo. Add in the fact every year he would put "true or false mankind evolved from monkeys" if you put false it would be wrong, students would go complain and the question would get tossed out by the school admin staff.

I got one right off the bat, Grade 1. She was overly-strict. She was shrill. One of my classmates was her niece, so she got special treatment over everyone else. In this class you got in trouble just for talking out of turn, even during free time. She kept people from recess and constantly wrote names on the board to publicly shame. Terrible teacher. To top it all off, she spoke a different language for half the day--which was ridiculous.

The rest of my teachers, from K-12 were all fantastic. It was only this one and it pains me to this day that she just had to be my teacher in Grade 1.

I didnt have her but the 3rd grade teacher next door to mine would yell super fucking loud at least once a fucking week. My teacher (who i wasnt a fan of either) had to close the door sometimes. Good lord i have no idea how she had a job. Ill never forget her name: Ms. Richmond. Thats how bad it was. I have trouble remembering some of my teachers from growing up but I remember hers like it was yesterday

One of my A level Biology teachers, gave us crosswords every odd lesson. Luckily I had two.

I never attended her lessons and studied out the book for her specific modules.

I’ve only had a hand full of teachers as I left school at 3rd grade due to learning disability’s before going back for 5-6 then leaving again for the rest. Worse would have been first grade had a very angry teacher who seemed to hate every one, I never got in trouble but she seemed to generally not care and hate every one.

History teacher my junior year. he would say sexual things to girls in my class, by the end of my JR year there wasn't hardly a girl in my class. One of my friends told me that she dropped his class because he said her butt looked nice.

This same teacher also opened my eyes how triggered people can be when it comes to politics. Some guys in my class were discussing the election, that they supported Bush and he went the fuck off on them like they kicked his dog.

Yeah he was a real piece of shit.

The first 2 years of school, there was a couple just about to retire who had been teaching since 50's. They ran the school by fear and intimidation. Complained about disciplinary measures of how they were no longer allowed to smash students fingers if student was out of line for their vision of SS regiment. (basically if student made a single sound or movement, that the student weren't given specific permission prior. God help you if you said something without given permission to speak) But had whole bunch of other draconian punishments that weren't physical, since that was banned. Like instead of smashing the students fingers with wooden map pointer, they slammed the students desk so hard, it scared the whole class. Endless shouting and yelling too. Small school in the middle of nowhere, but I still wonder how they got away with the style for so long.

Once had a teacher flip out running out of the classroom crying +threatening to punch kids. She was new to the job and instantly got the worst class possible to teach. Poor woman.. terrible teacher but hot + crazy .

Actually thinking about it the worse I had was a teacher sub in grade 5 who went on a extremely long rant when he asked me to read something during English and I said I couldn’t.

My freshman science teacher was a fucking bitch. Just rude as hell and mean for no real reason. If I had to guess its because she was middle aged and still single who just lived at home with her sister and their cats but anyways.

Not growing up per se but I had a college instructor who turned out to be a pedophile. Had loads of child pornography so while in class he was just a bland boring/kinda awkward dude he really was a real piece of shit. Even worse was he was married and had a young son.

Not malicious but incompetent. I had a teacher who was African (couldn't tell you the nation) and had a very strong accent so at times it was very difficult to understand him, which didn't help. Anyway he taught us design technology (think Americans would call it shop). Among his greatest feats included sawing a firends work in half only to ask him why his work was cut in half, he taught us the same lesson multiple times for no apparent reason and once locked us in the classroom for some reaaon. He was shortly fired within the year.

Mrs Hebble. 4th grade. Really wasn't her fault because the prior year she was Kindergarten but got pushed up last minute because the other one got into some terrible car accident weeks before school started and more or less missed the year. I understand this now but 8 or 9 year old me had nothing to do with it. Then about halfway though the year she had an epic meltdown and just made school horrible.

My sports teacher in my first year of gymnasium who gave me a E while the one I had the year after gave me an A.
He also pretty much flirted with every girl and ignored every guy unless they were hockey or football interested.
