VA Secretary Nominee, Ronny Jackson, Trump's Doctor, Nomination on the Rocks

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...hearing-546408

Apparently this guy is losing favor with both Democrats and Republicans. He was going to be voted on this week but it has now been postponed with no new date for a vote.

Apparently the reasons for this delay is because he makes a "hostile work environment", with "excessive drinking on the job and improperly dispensing meds".

Maybe this is why this dumb fucker thinks that Trump, eating McDonalds and KFC, could live to be 200 years old and that he only apparently weighs 239 pounds got the nomination in the first place. He was fucking drunk when he gave that press conference.

I wonder what's the cutoff for how much "drinking on the job" is appropriate for a physician, before it becomes "excessive"

Dunno, but the fact that he was improperly dispensing meds, means he should be in jail for giving people medication they shouldn't be having. And usually when they do that, it is stuff like opiates, that are heavily regulated.

Big surprise! Another Trump buddy who ought to be in jail.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

Well, I seem to remember some prominent government figure recently arguing that drug dealers should be punished with the death penalty.

Improperly dispensing medication should be grounds for immediate and permanent removal of his doctor's license and jail time. His nomination should be tossed out on that alone.

In a non-Trumpian world, the standard is "any".

Everything Trump touches turns to shit. What's even worse is that none of these fools realize it. This guy knows he's not qualified for this job and had no business accepting the nomination.

But whatever. It's not like much was expected of him after he went out and lied about Trump's health for an hour.

In some way I gave this guy the benefit of doubt when he briefed us on Trump's health. Yeah his BS about his weight and living 200 years (not literally). But just enough Trump had passing health.

So now this guy seems unhinged and more scary a true effin puppet who will go out and give a propaganda statement. Seriously Trumpkins when NK people tell us Kim Jong-un shot 18 hole-in-the-wall or whatever.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!

Improper dispensing meds is usually related to poor documentation of medication dispensing or not administering them according to proper guidelines. Poor documentation is quite often a way for people to steal medication.

Do you have a medical license? Are you willing to say Trump is growing into the size of a Super Bowl winning defensive end? Then you too can have a job in Trump’s White House...

Q -- why is Ronny Jackson Trump's White House Doctor?

A -- because he wasn't removed from the position that Barack Obama put him in.

It's amazing how this magic veneer of incompetence just appears over his name and CV when his employer changes parties.

The administrations long tradition of not bothering to vett anyone before nominating them continues.

I completely forgot about this. Wow, it's been a while. I thought Trump liked veterans?

Once formally nominated, all delays are by the intentional choice of Chuck Schumer. It has been his decision as minority leader to max out all allotted debate time on all confirmations since start of Trump's term, which is why well over a year into it, it is still quite slow going. Only thing McConnell could do to speed things up is keep the Senate in session round the clock, but Senators are not exactly a nose to the grindstone bunch by nature.

Unfortunately the whole system is set up for that. That's what happens in for-profit healthcare, where you allow shopping for doctors until the patient finds one who likes making money. And since each has profit motive to keep the paying customer, it most likely doesn't take that many doctors for people to get what they ask, regardless of need.

What is it you think you have here? It's always fun to watch you guys pull a "revelation" from your ass and declare it meaningful because you say so.

It's almost as if this magic veneer is in regards to an entirely different job. Though I'm sure if he had declared easily disprovable things about Obama's health then the incompetence would have been more apparent.

One can only imagine the constitutional crisis thesis you would have written about that.

Uhm... the issue is that unlike Obama, Trump is nominating the guy as VA Secretary... also, unlike Trump, the doctor didn’t report Obama growing an inch. Maybe if the doctor did a solid to Obama... like say that Obama is growing into a slimmer version of Chris Long... maybe Obama would have nominated him as well.

It's almost as if this administration is so over its head in corruption, incompetence, lies and scandals that "smaller" things like "Trump's doctor drinks on the job and improperly dispenses meds" really only even comes up when his nomination hearing is pushed back to "never".
