CHRONICLES

The Ceremony of Attunement, which was previously postponed due to Yrlwalach induced rain, has been rescheduled. Come and join the celebration where absolutely, positively nothing will go awry.

EVENTS

Grim Remembrance

The quest “Tools of Destruction” has been removed from the achievement requirements for “Grim Tasks”.
The event merchant has improved their organization of wares.
Clicking on the Achievements button in the World Event UI now takes you directly to the Grim Remembrance achievement section.
The iLvl of level 70 gear has been increased (vastly in some cases).

SUMMERFEST

The new Island Cove dimension is now properly flagged as a rest area.

ITEMS

For level 70 raid gear with randomized suffixes (concats), the odds of any particular concat have been evened out.
The cosmetic unlock of the Estrodian Wings should now function properly. For players that have already purchased the Estrodian Wings, you can get the wardrobe unlock by logging in any character that has not yet claimed the mount and wardrobe item from the mail (or create a new character to do so) and go claim the wings from the mail.

NPCs

XARTH MIRE

Jubjub and a few other boglings in Bailghol have returned to their intended spots on top of the docks rather than hanging out under them all shady-like.

The following achievement categories have been unhidden on Prime: Ember Isle, Grim remembrance, Chronicles, and Ceremony of Attunement.

Rift mobs in Ashenfell no longer clip through rocks and get stuck.

The Mathosian Mill interior no longer erroneously says “Deepwood Cottage”.

VOSTIGAR PEAKS

Two weekly quests in Vostigar Peaks once again include the Captured Intel and Notoriety rewards the had recently been removed in error

The Great Hunt meta quests now properly display quest rewards. Those that previously completed this quest did receive the proper rewards upon completion, even if they were not displayed within the quest UI.

While in the store, be sure to claim your free “Summerfest Party Pack!” – this login bonus can only be claimed on one character per account and will only be available until the end of Wednesday, July 25th.

You would have thought they'd give Live something to celebrate the opening of River of Souls on Prime, something like, let's say, a World Event where anyone that wasn't playing Rift for the first few months seven years ago would never have seen.

They could have had Alsbeth attacking all the old Mathosian zones on Live, they could have even put the Soulstream skybox for effects, throw in dailies that award items no longer available since the original RoS Event, heck they could call it something like Grim Remembrance on Live........

Grim Remembrance was intended for Prime for River of Souls. It was just copy pasted over to Live for "nostalgia". You know like they've been copy pasting a lot of stuff over from Prime to Live to make it appear Live is getting content despite the fact that other than class balance it's had nothing huge for going on 9 months now. 4.3 for Live was in October last year.

The funny part is a while ago they claimed they couldn't do major changes because of the "different codes" or w/e with Prime and Live. And yet they've injected god knows how many changes into Live that were originally for Prime. I remember them using the excuse as to why Credits couldn't carry over or something.

And the drought is made even worse due to the quality of Starfall Prophecy.

So to repeat what I said. Prime gets an entire raid and live gets a new store mount.

An absolute joke.

Who doesn't like freebies....there's been a strange bug since Grim Remembrance ended, you can see and loot artifacts but they don't appear in your bags, zone events don't give loot, looks like Alsbeth's revenge so let's have her back for a few more days and hand out some goodies to us all.....

Current population in rift now too low compared to before. People's are bored. Doing the same content like 7 month... For me Slipmat is kind of troll. For him everything is fine and good in rift. So many people dont even kill second boss on BOS raid because of the nerfs. Whatever game is literally dying. Playing since release blah blah.

It's not just live though.

Prime is at an all time low as well with guilds having to merge, there being about 10 or so raiding guilds left, the recent challenges were barely completed by anyone and so on.

I don't see them continuing with Prime because people aren't going to come back for SL, NMT or especially SFP after they saw how the base game was handled.

I dont think they close prime yet. Because For trion everything is going fine and well. That's why they are gonna lose everything they have eventually. In my guild we lost about 10 people at least because of the lack of content. Doing hardly end game raid. I even banned on official forum for saying the truth about this game. I'm not seeing slipmat on live btw maybe he is playing on prime and he know population is dying.

Hellbugs Call to Action Event is back for both Live and Prime, some Ducks it seems have been annoying Alsbeth in River of Souls and free mounts for everyone on Live as they change the daily logins to be a bit more like Prime.

The merchants from Grim Remembrance will hang around for an extra week to give Ascended the chance to spend their currencies.
The weapons from the Grim Remembrance merchant now have equip requirements that match the displayed level of the items on the vendors. Characters with over-leveled weapons currently equipped will find these items unequipped.

SUMMERFEST

Summerfest has been extended by one week! It will now end on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 instead of August 2, 2018.
The plat cost of the dimension items added to the store last week have been reduced by 75%.

QUESTS

Fixed a display issue where certain quests were not showing the correct amount of PA experience that will be gained.

RAIDS

RIVER OF SOULS

Albeth’s Grave Bolt has had its damage increased.
Alsbeth has displeased Regulos. As punishment he has taken a portion of vitality away from her and the servants who directly protect her.
Alsbeth has granted Putonus the liberty to make some adjustments to the area outside his arena. Spectators may have a less than ideal time watching the encounter.

Alsbeth the Discordant has grown tired of Ascended who have fallen in battle re-entering the battle with her minions. Ascended who choose to respawn while their raid is engaged with a boss will need to wait until the boss dies or resets before rejoining their allies.
Alsbeth was not pleased that several of her minions could not go after Ascended hiding behind rocks. These minions have been replaced by new minions who do not take pity on ascended who hide behind rocks.

Altered some damage values in Herald Gaurath encounter based on player feedback.
BoE random drops have had their drop rates fixed.
Fixed a bug that prevented Alsbeth and her minions from doing the proper damage when enraged.
Warmaster Galenir’s Festering Infection has become drastically more painful.

• Corrected the Spectral Carriage mount’s description to no longer mistakenly list itself as a 160% speed mount. This only applies to the direct purchased version in the Summerfest section of the RIFT store. Older Spectral Carriages from lockboxes are not affected.

QUESTS

Fixed an issue with the “In the Image of my Enemy” quest in Droughtlands where the Saboteur Time Bomb Catalyst buff could remove the disguise needed for the quest.

SO sad to see all of this and the half assed work Trion is doing.

I had such high hopes for Prime, really gave it a lot of effort, championed it ot try and get new players give it a chance, and genuinely thought if they handled it right could be a whole new chapter in the games history and revitalise it.

The they launched and it became apparent very quickly it was a cash in, and it became even more of a joke after 2 months. I expect absolutely nothing else from them regarding their other games now, and i genuinely have no idea why the OP is still trying to push it, unless he is getting paid by Trion to be their community champion or something, because at this point, even a blind rabid follower of the game can see how shitty it is.


For me though, the shitty community in LFD was the final straw, was so absolutely toxic as to be unreal. For every 4 dungeons you would spend an hour queueing for, 3 would be filled with try-hard wankers who would stop the run or try and hold it to ransom to get what *they* wanted. Was ridiculous. So again, how OP can champion such a rotten community, half assed game, and blatant cash grab is completely beyond me.

Well supposedly there are people here who care about Rift but apparently according to a previous discussion I had with the OP he states that they don't post because of all the "negativity".

Somehow I find that hard to believe since he never presented evidence on the matter.

But the moment Prime started sharing patches with Live and with how long it took GSB to come out it was evident that the game was both taking the resources from Live and lazily developing for both. And they want to keep this going to 4.0? Who is gonna pay a sub for 4.0 when people barely touch it on live?

I genuinely haven't seen anyne really champion it as much though, barely a handful of posts. I even check the Rift Prime forums now and again, and when I last checked a couple of weeksback, all they had was "Fix this please, Trion!", and "Prime is dying" threads. The very rare "I like this game!" of which I think there was one, but it is apparent that even the small fanbase is getting a bit, angsty. You cannot really say vocal minority either, because the only people playing now *are* the hardcores, who are usually quite vocal in what the feel is necessary.

For me though, the absolutel pinnacle of realising Trion didn't give a fuck, was when the RIft CLass Dev left, and they had what, 2 months to train a replacement? ANd stated "We didn't think class balance would be important". I could be way off, but it is what I read and was a hot topic of discussion for a while, and what happened on Prime? Sab rogues and MA for god knows how long, and basically destroying the community from the get-go.

Great work, Trion.

Ironically though he is the one making Rift appear in a bad light. So if anything he does a better job than anyone else of convincing them not to play it.

So I guess in a weird way he is doing more damage to the game and it's community long term I guess? I dunno that's how I see it but then again just my opinion.

I'd say the CMs actually do most of the damage. With their condescending attitude on the official forums and their whole "yeah we accept criticism" attitude then proceed to ban any critique that isn't something like "oh this is broken fix it please".

I'm pretty sure he is aware of the reality in front of him. He is aware of all the critique here and he just throws oil on the fire because whenever someone presented him with an opportunity for discussion in this sub forum well we all know where that went.

Weekend and population is like .... People's are gone, I even watched last stream they still dont care it at all. I dont even know why they are chosing the idiotics question to answer. But I know they dont want to face with reality so its normal. I dont even think rift can see 2020 with current population.
