So people in Denmark can't read the 99% of analog watches and clocks that are based on 12 and not 24 hours? That seems pretty stupid.

Well I'm dumb, apparently I thought it was coming out on the 14th in America. I screwed up my time off from work lol ...

Well in the end, they're from the US. For them it must be hard to comphrehend 24 hour clock and SI units.

Actually, the OP thinks CEST is something to do with America. Thats this forum in a nutshell, some fucking idiot asking a question that he could just google then shitting all over the people that answer it.

Why? "am" stands for ante meridiem, which means before noon in latin. The "pm" stands for post meridiem, past/after noon. While I perfer the 24 h format there is really nothing difficult about the other system.

I mean analog clocks are thing and widely used in europe as well. We just don't use the connotation of am/pm usually which means people tend to not know what refers to first and what to the second half.

The French do a similar thing. f.e. 80 is pronounced as 4*20.

Never said there was anything wrong or whatever with it, just that it was humorous from a non german speaking standpoint

Only on this volatile website would a simple question spawn a 4 page thread.

    World of Warcraft
    Battle for Time

Main plotline: jaina doesn't want to get visibly older.
Also, horde fights for the AM/PM notation, while alliance fights for the 24h notation.

We ca read analog watches, yes.. But.

1: It's not taught in any school
2: It switch between AM and PM in unlogical way (12PM comes after 11AM and 12AM comes aster 11PM). That's the major confusion (12AM should be with 1AM-11AM and 12PM should be with 1PM to 11PM).
