    Is there hope? Yikes

    Hey there everyone,

So never got a chance to play BFA beta, although i watched a lot of videos that isn't enough to get an idea of how things feel. On behalf of our beautiful warriors.. how are we doing in terms of DPS (are we bottom of the totem-poll for ST/AOE) how do we hold up against other classes? and how is our tanking look? i've seen the general consensus that it looks kinda scary bad.

    - Just trying to get any info i can, thanks again <3

Warriors are fine, or at least no worse than otherers. Look at the other class forum, everyone thinks their class is in serious trouble.
Vengeance moves with the Gilneas briGAADE.

Go Fury or just don't play warrior.
"I dont like Arms so you shouldnt either"
    nice feedback.

arms is even more brain dead mode than legion , fury has really fast gameplay and prot i heard isnt that good

in terms of DPS for 120 lvl - fury is good, has consistant damage, no more crazy bursts and afk till next burst, but execute is not as strong as before, imho top middle of the pack. Arms is top tier M+ spec (even with 0 utility) and dps wise - better then fury, but has a strange problem - mastery is now the worst stat for him, u should avoid it as much as u can. For now arms is top 3 spec in game. For more information read Archimtiros posts and warrior discord guides and information (check da pins).

but after first raid week will be a massive balancing thing, so take all information with grain of salt. Best advice - play what u like, unless u are minmaxing for world first race and u'll be fine.

P.S. for playstyle - u have to check by urself what u enjoy. as for me - arms is more interesting than fury, dont listen to "hurrdurr brainded hurrdurr too easy...", there is no any spec in game, which could be called "hard to play"

Honeslty what a shit feedback, it is ok to shit on a spec if u dont like it but at least tells us why arms is so bad

Personnaly, I played a lot Warrior on the BETA and I was very skeptical at the beginning, but it is safe to say for me that overral the warrior has been improved from Legion going into BFA, wich is already something good because a lot of classes are now way worst than before.

Fury is the funniest melee spec in the game, maybe ther only downside of the spec is that the gameplay almost doesn't change with diferents talents setup, but the base gameplay is really simple, fun and well designed imo.

I dont mind Arms at all even if I have more fun playing Fury, just because Arms is already much more fun than A LOT of others melee in the game. The rend/skullspitter build offers the smoothest and more active gameplay and it might a good spec to min/max especialy when it comes to snipe executes on cleave targets.

The only "meh" spec of the warrior is Protection, the base gameplay is not the worst and I have some fun playing it. What irritates me is how lazy Blizzard has been when it cames to revamp the spec, the fact that some garbage never-used talent like Ravager is still a thing is sad. Same goes with Ignore pain, I didn't liked the Legion one, but this one is even worst and it's the result of how lazy Blizzard has been when it comes to design class in BFA, rushing things fast at the last time, not thinking further.

I also don't see where this spec can have a place in competitive wow tbh: RBG? VDH M+ ? BDK/VDH/ProtPal Raiding ? Monk/Drood. It's the only tank that doesn't fit any content well, that's sad

One last complain about the class: The fact that they removed AOE stun from both warrior DPS specs IS REALLY MF STUPID AF. Havoc DH have a baseline AOE stun while already adding a shit ton more utility to a raid/m+ group, it doesn't make any fucking sense

That's it overall, Warrior is one of the best class going into BFA (From a gameplay PoV, otherwise go rogue lul)

Personaly fury is fun af to me right now, and Arms is great in pvp. Prot needs some love, when one of your core ability's feels like a wasted GCD you know the spec has issues.

Warrior is only slightly behind and only in sims. Sims are very inaccurate(especially the ones that everyone is going off of right now because they didn't take correct talents for a lot of specs). Warrior will excel like it always does in execute phase and do slightly less damage during the rest of the fight to make up for it. What's important is that both Warrior Specs are enjoyable, to me anyway, if you enjoy it and are good with it, you'll always have a spot in raids/m+.

Currently, overall Fury warrior is doing pretty good, but Arms is not too hot.

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...unt&dataset=90

For single target fights, Fury is near the top, and Arms is near the bottom.

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...t=90&boss=2076

For more AoE type fights, Fury is even better, and Arms is even worse.

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/st...t=90&boss=2076

Keep in mind that this is for good players (set it for 90%), so it is a good indication of how capable each of the specs are. Also, this may very well change by the time people starting raiding in BfA (the types of gear available at 120, etc), and will likely be tweaked a couple of weeks after people start raiding in BfA.

It's not great to set your opinion from prepatch as there are still legendaries and T21 sets.

T21 is so bad for Arms warrior that it might even be better to focus on higher ilvl gear than trying to get 4-pieces bonus.

Arms warrior are good in MM+ dungeons in BFA (which means aoe is not an issue). Downside is that it lost its aoe stun (like Fury) although it still has at least a ST stun. Can't tell for ST DPS though.

To be honest I don't like prepatch Fury gameplay that much. It sure is dynamic/fast but it also just feels extremely repetitive.

If you believe the EU official forums then Warriors are in the worst state in the history of the game, Arms is basically useless at everything. Thankfully the reality is quite a bit different, especially considering tuning has yet to take place, unless your hopes and dreams are pinned on Arms becoming a self-healing 1v1 specialist you're going to be fine.

I will be levelling as Arms.

Honestly I think Fury is shite, I don't like Arms either but I definitely wouldn't say it's worse than Fury.

I'm just a bit worried about m+ going forward irrespective of the numerical stack ranking as that always changes with tuning.

Warriors in Legion brought two things to M+ -- massive cleave and shockwave. Both those are kind of gone (fury still has OK cleave but not 'massive'). I think this is a big problem for many specs in BfA and why I'm less excited -- there's simply less utility for interesting plays across the board. And this puts even more onus on each class being balanced defensively as when most specs have shitty utility, people will simply bring the "safest" or most defensive specs -- and warrior survivability is pretty ass on top of being a melee (so more danger always).
