    Momentum

I've noticed that, if you use Fel Rush twice, Momentum is different than how it was in Legion. Before, in Legion, if you used Momentum again while the buff window was up, it reset to 6 seconds. It appears that now, instead of starting a new 6 sec window, it actually extends your current buff window to ~11 seconds (cast time/GCD). Is there any benefit to using FR twice in a row, and then dumping fury?

You will likely never have enough fury to fully utilise 11 seconds worth. Fel Rush will be on perma cd anyway so there's not much point to do two stacks instantly unless an upcoming mechanic is going to mean you need to stand still.

Also, Legion was 4 sec, not 6.

That changes everything. How dare him to use the wrong number as an example.

There are some fundamental rules when using Momentum Icon Momentum to bear in mind during combat. First, the spells that activate Momentum do benefit from the buff they trigger (meaning a Fel Rush cast is boosted even if it is not already active on you when it is cast). You should aim to never clip a Momentum window, and instead aim for maximum uptime. Note that unlike in Legion, additional casts while the buff is active will add to the duration, instead of overwriting it, meaning that two back to back Fel Rush casts will generate a total of 12 seconds of uptime. However, whilst this serves as a way to minimise your waste, you should still ideally attempt to spread your windows out to make sure you are spending as few Global Cooldowns as possible on generation during the 6-second period it is active.

    TL;DR

You want to pool fury to dump it all during momentum, rebuild fury and then dump it again in the momentum buff window. You can have 12 seconds of momentum but spend 6 seconds building fury, you just lost dps because you wasted momentum doing nothing but auto attacking.

Wouldn't the opener be a good time to utilize the double FR then? You've got lust and Meta going, you're ideally not going to lack in Fury. Meta in, VR out, FR back in and then FR through the boss, then have at it for the next 12 seconds..

There are times where you do lack fury due to bad strings of DB procs on opener but most of the time it's not much of an issue due to having VR buff. I like spacing them out so VR/FR line up perfectly, if not, I tend to notice that VR cd ends much sooner than FR comes off cd or vise versa.
