Yeah, I noticed and they even went as far as to screw around to keep anyone who might actually push the envelope from winning their primaries.

Hopefully the past 10 years will show them they need to actually have balls. They tried to compromise the entire time during Obama even when the Republicans put party before nation and try and intentionally screw up to blame the Democrats for it and when they got into power because the Democrats never pushed back, the Republicans started burning this place down even harder and not compromising on anything.

If they get into power and they DON'T try and push back, I truly hope the American people react to it. For the sake of this nation, this crap can't be allowed to stand.

Anyone in the FBI who has had anything to do with the trump investigation, or any relationship with the Clintons, or had any knowledge of the dossier should be fired too.
And the mueller investigation SHOULD be shut down citing the entire investigation was based on a fake dossier funded by the opposition campgain who colluded with russia to create said dossier.

But hes going to be confirmed.

over 3 DECADES of investigations, and currently, the GOP has Sessions in the justice dept, control of the House, which means the U.S. House Judiciary Committee is in GOP control

but not one step in pushing for indictment on those supposed "lies under oath over a dozen times"
face it, you got shoveled tripe, ate it, and now want others do the same so you wont feel like you got played

This is how it really works. Perjury is a crime. Those suspected of such are indicted and if guilty are convicted. Get back to me when this has happened to Kavanaugh. Of course the Democrats will use the accusation he has committed perjury as a political leverage.

No they will use the proof he committed perjury to try stopping a criminal from being promoted.

Look it up he perjured himself during his first confirmation to the court he was referred to the justice department who decided not to pursue charges. He lied to congress and committed perjury the DOJ deciding not to pursue it is another matter and he did this once again. Why does it matter what they accuse them of? republicans will confirm anyone at this point but it is a good leverage for a future date to bring him down from the court once they have power if they got the balls.

We all know the only reason Trump picked him instead of many easier choices is because he is the only one who thinks the president is above the law and you are more than happy to have someone that puts the president before country.

People forget McConnell was opposed to Kavanaugh being nominated, but they'll rubber stamp him to get a conservative on the bench before the next session.

So when even your own party is against you because they know you're dirty, there's an issue. There were plenty other less dirty picks that Trump could have chosen but specifically chose BK because of his views on presidential authority.

They're trying so hard to block the dirt coming out but it's an eventuality. He'll get put on the bench more than likely, unless Collins and Murkowski flip, but him committing perjury and handling illegally obtained documents for a political advantage are going to bite him and the GOP in the ass in 2020.

he second that cocksleeve refused to give a definitive "no" when asked the question "can the president pardon himself" AKA "can the president be a dictator" he became instantly disqualified, dis-fucking-qualified. this asshole cannot be allowed on the SCOTUS, we are literally on the cusp of losing everything we as a nations stand for.

In THEORY yes, but not entirely in practice. They have to first be willing to look into those things first and press charges (Not sure if I am phrasing that right) but the current Republican party is putting party before nation and refusing to do that job.

Another piece of evidence of that is the leaked memo from the republicans showing what they fear happening if they lose the house as then the Democrats actually get the power to investigate which they have blocked with control. Trump was sworn in while committing impeachable offenses, the Republican controlled house and senate though just refused to look into them.

The fact is, Kavanaugh is committed these acts from the records and by all accounts should be disbarred, not appointed. But the Republicans must first show some level of principles to look into that officially first which they aren't willing to do because "Party before Nation" seems to be their overall motto.

You're right, it should shut down. Trump should give up and turn himself in so it ends.

Indeed Kavanaugh is Trump's way to stay out of jail since he believes his presidential powers are absolute, Trump could become a serial killer and Kavanaugh would say he is above the law.

To be fair, Kavanaugh is one judge and while that is definitely the reason, it doesn't mean all the other republican justices will agree. It's easy to forget but there was a time when the biggest problem I had with many republicans was just ideological differences rather than questioning their loyalty to the nation.

Three months ago they ruled that US workers have no right to due process against their employers. As much as I would like to believe they wouldn't back Trump, that decision right there casts doubt I could trust them with anything.

I hope the Democrats are done playing "Nice" politically after he becomes a Supreme Court Judge. This was a huge powerplay by the Republicans and it's sadly working.

Seems like everybody should say Goodbye to Abortion Rights and or "Impeaching" Trump. Kavanaugh seems like he would also protect Trump as well as only supporting his own party. He is known to be Partisan.

If they remove impeaching from the table, I fear they may inadvertently put assassinating back on it. They truly underestimate the level of pissed the American people are becoming watching this chump sell out this nation and themselves and their own children. Let alone to have the GOP protect him at every chance legally for their own power.

If Kavanaugh is allowed to be seated only to have him not recuse himself over a case that calls into legitimacy his very nomination and rule that the president is above the law, that might be the final straw. The question is, do the GOP understand that and are they really ready to play that level of Brinkmanship.
