Thor 1 in particular had some quite nice dramatic moments. Its the most "drama" heavy of all the marvel films. Odin aka anthony hopkins banishing thor and silencing Loki were some great scenes. And the film is wasted in the 2nd and 3rd act as a awkward rom com with way too many angles on the "lovers" like we need to see 16 different close ups of natalie portman as thor is about his face melted off by a giant robot.

Took them a few films to correct that mistake

So yes that is falling for click bait based purely on the fact you entertained it into the realm of conversation and gave its bullshit some kind of weight.
Well I never actually read the article because I knew it was crap, I posted it to show what crap they were trying/thinking about to doing next..

No it was a rom com when I wanted to see thor. The new spider man movie is like 80% pete parker and has some drama moments. Nobody bought a ticket to see fucking natalie portman consuming half the screen time.

Good for you, I enjoyed it. The Dark Elves were cool. The Battle in London was cool. It was a fun movie. Captain Marvel looks like trash.

You have questionable taste than that's all I'm saying. Superhero movies should be about super heros prodominantly and everyone else second. If I wanted to see a movie about natalie portman, I would.

It kind of feels a lot like certain movies get farmed out as well to lower quality directors and this feels like one of them.
I think they just chose a questionable cover looking at the actual comic or even the alt covers they look alot better if not quite in a style i like.

id say the in issue art is better then any of the covers though.

To be fair, I wouldn't have minded some romance in Thor 1 and 2 if ya know, Natalie Portman had an actual ROLE. And ya know, it wasn't Natalie Portman.

That's the thing though. In the comics, Carol Danvers has ALWAYS been an arrogant, cocky, smug, and frankly obnoxious character. She was that way back when she was Ms. Marvel. What we have seen from her is literally depicting the character as being true to her comics personality(which is how she was long before "SJW" was even a term). And in the comics, she behaves that way towards everyone, not just men.

Just to give you an idea of Carol Danvers, during the House of M storyline where Scarlet Witch altered reality and all the heroes had their greatest wishes come true? Carol Danvers...was the world's greatest, most beloved superhero.

You do realize the romance between Jane Foster and Thor has kinda been a big thing in the comics right? Like, getting upset that they included it is like getting upset that Thor has a hammer.

What, a super-powered person has an ego and terrible flaws!?

I mean, this is precisely what makes Marvel characters interesting and DC characters boring.

How much screen time does it get in the comics. Ill need to read them but if the title of the material is thor the move should have like 80% thor and not a 50/50 split.

I don't know. And I'm not going to sit here and analyze my Thor comics for you.

    Jane Foster/Thor was a thing. /end

    truth hurts i guess.

Its almost like comic books and movies are different art forms and require different tones and relationships require chemistry

An ego and flaws, like Batman, or Barry Allen, or Plastic Man you mean? Just...without their redeeming qualities? I assume that's what you were getting at, right?

They failed to show this in movie, you shouldn't have to read comics before watching such a movie to understand this plot line. It's just limitation of movie as a medium - they won't be able to show everything, that should be a criteria why movie is bad if they skip things like these

Injustice did a great job at showing flaws of DC characters IMO. Sometimes movie doesn't deliver, but saying that marvel characters are interesting but dc aren't is simply shallow.
