So they've achieved a goal, which is good. Hopefully Lucasfilm have taken on board the same learning. I'm sure they have.

So anyone playing Shadowlands? There is a Mandalorian reference in Ardenweald. Escorting a very familiar looking "crib" in a quest called: This is the way

Sidenote, maybe it's just because of how feverishly hidden references get covered by all the pop culture clickbait websites nowadays, but I'm tired of seeing such references. Back in the day, they used to be rare as balls across games/comics/films/whatnot, but now it just seems like obligatory fan service. It's like no matter whether you're making a game or novel or comic or movie or song or fucking pasta even, you gotta insert them 'easter eggs' to keep the uber nerds coming back for more. I'm probably old and cynical, but I liked it better when these things weren't so saturated. But I suppose that's the state of the world now, and I'm its obligatory Dutch Vanderlinde. I don't want it gosh darn be this way. Holy shit. I'm a boomer.

As someone pointed out they loke like Phase I Dark Troopers. I confused them, because I was only familiar with the Phase III design.

I stayed up for the week's episode...and it was worth it. Someone else can drop the spoilers but this is the kind of episode you could show to someone who has next watched anything SW in their life with a good chance of them loving it. Lots to unpack later.

Worst thing about the episode for me was naming Kid. Then again this show doesn't care much about dragging on mysteries - a thing we got used to with long 1 hours serials.

Bets of a Luke cameo/mention are on even if it was most likely Ezra being foreshadowed.

As I expected, she wouldn't train him, since baby Grogu has issues + attachment to Din.

Due to Ahsoka hisory of being padawan to Anakin who turned into Darth Vader...

It was an ok episode, except that woman would never have lasted that long vs Ahsoka in that duel or have flung one of her lightsabers away..

She wouldn't have lasted 2 seconds..Ahsoka didn't even use her force powers..

If Ahsoka had decided to train Grogu it would have pushed Din from centre stage, show named after Mando, not Ahsoka..

I expect ahsoka, mando, bo katan n imps will be in end of season, this episode seemed low budget, saving up for something big.

Thrawn, he is around? Doubt he cares aboit the baby, not his style, too desperate a move. Gideon is not the big bad although he probably think he is.
Thrawn only offered his services to the empire out of fear for big threat out in the unknown regions, he wanted a strong solid faction like the imps.
With the empire gone, the pathetic remnants are beneath him, don't think he would get along with nor respect Gideon. Thrawn wouldn't even wear an imperial uniform, he would rather join the new republic but due to his warcrimes they won't let him. Darn librulz!

Imps only tolerated Thrawn due to the emperor, they had a general dislike for him in sw Rebels. I doubt he'd be desperate to plead for position. Imps also have dislike for aliens.

If Thrawn is around, so is Ezra..will Ezra train Grogu? I suspect Ezra hasn't been found n the baby might draw him out. Ezra is a more fitting choice, he was part of a 'family' the ghost crew.

Ahsoka leaving the jedi order concluded she wouldn't be part or restart that order...

Where's Sabine Wren? If we don't get a Sabine scene snuggling baby Grogu, we'll riot!

Another big problem for show, by hyping bescar armor for show, they nerfed awesomeness of lightsabers.
Bescar is only meant to survive against glancing blows, not full swings on top of armor or thrusts.
Din's armor should have ended up a mess, n very warm so he'd have to throw it off like with the movie Aliens where Hicks throws off his chestpiece after getting splattered by xenomorph acidic blood.

Now a Din Djarin/Bo Katan vs Gideon fight looks less dangerous...

Also how did Mandalorians loose in their ancient war against the Jedi, if they had op armor?...

Why didn't Darth Vader have Bescar armor?

And for the love of god, don't add luke skywalker, Mandalorian show is not here to redeem new trash trilogy..

There's nothing low budget about this episode. From the costumes, set design, down to the CGI. The design for Ashoka isn't and they showed it a lot (don't stare add thst head piece for too long though). Baby Yoda shots are not cheap which is why there's usually only quick shots of him not moving around much. The amount of detail in the town is ridiculous and those droids would have killed any droids budget by themselves. Beautiful lightsabers. All this while ignoring sound design. All while one of greatest clashes old east and western cowboy/kung-fu motifs I've ever seen.

The previous episode was basically filmed in a garage. They went all out for this one.

1st, this is spoiler thread, no need for spoiler tags..

I did see this on "Don't you guys have phones?"
Its subpar to everything...but u could really tell with earlier episode with hijacking big ship n earlier with krayt dragon when there was big budget involved, didn't get the feeling today with a scorced forest, darkness, some dark base..
Lightsabers? Fan films can do that now...

Just because it is a spoiler thread doesn't mean people want to openly share spoilers either. It is based on a want rather than a need.

Anyway, I was overall disappointed in the episode. Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka just sounded off to me and didn't come across as Ahsoka.

They just should have Ashley Eckstein be Ahsoka. She even cosplayed as Ahsoka and looked better than Rosario.

And my point was pointing out your stance is pointless at best. I don't see "mixed racially" with animated Ahsoka. Your opinion isn't a fact nor is it really worth even arguing against.

Well this episode give a lot of answers:
The kid is a Yodas son (and the other one of same race) as its mention he was in temple.
Admiral Thrawn is still alive (maybe we will see him in season 3?).
The reason why she refuses the Jedi training is since she left the order, so the title of episode is a oxymoron.

I guess they were saving money on this episode since they went with basic dark forest theme.

She is older in this series:

Like quite a few more years.
