Sniper shot

How good is sniper shot on the ptr? Is it going to be the new opener now that aimed shot is losing the 50% on new targets?


Also how does the damage work?
Is it 20% of their current health or 20% of their max health.
I. E. Does it hit for less the less health they have? So if 3 hunters open up on 1 target is it going to be 20+20+20 = 60% of health gone. Or will each sniper shot afterwards do less damage.


Also does it hit for more then 20% depending on gear or is it always just going to be 20% of targets health?
Is it 30% when you crit?
I'm curious to see whether or not some sort of sniper shot/exploding/rapid fire build would be fun in pvp.

It's based on max health, and most likely can't crit.
Just check greater pyroblast on live, it's pretty much the same thing (except it deals 35% max hp and has 4s cast time). I think you'd rather want to take careful aim over explosive shot for opener/execute.
