New PC Build From Scratch - Help Appreciated!

    Hello there friends!

I built a PC entirely from recommendations of the good people on MMOC a few years back and am doing the same again. I'm currently playing on a 1440p/140ghz Monitor and have a budget of roughly $2000AUD ($1450USD)

Key components that I'm interested in:

    GPU: Nvidia Card
    CPU: i7 preferably or a good i5
    Water Cooling

I won't be using any of my current computers components as I'm planning to tidy it up and give it to a family member for Christmas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

When you say water cooling, just want to make sure here. You want a custom loop or an AiO?

Also, from the sticky, please fill this out:
    Budget
    Resolution
    Games / Settings Desired
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)
    Country
    Parts that can be reused
    Do you need an OS?
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?

All in one is fine, nothing too crazy either. I'm not planning to OC anytime soon I just want good enough cooling as I've not had a good experience with heatsinks/thermal paste in the past.

    Budget: $2000AUD
    Resolution: 1440p
Games / Settings Desired: New games, high/ultra graphics.
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): No
    Country: Australia
Parts that can be reused: This is strictly a desktop build, I'm using existing monitor and peripherals.
Do you need an OS? Yes
    Do you need peripherals: No

    Thanks for your help Tempname!

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel - Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($410.76 @ Amazon Australia)
CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.69 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($146.69 @ Amazon Australia)
    Motherboard: MSI - Z370 GAMING PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($185.00 @ Umart)
    Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($200.74 @ Amazon Australia)

I swear, AU retailers are weird as fuck. That 1070ti costs the same as this 1070 at the same store:
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition Video Card ($599.00 @ Umart)

CPU: 9600k because it was barely more than the 8600k I was going to give you. 6c/6t is fine for gaming nowadays.
MOBO: Z370 because it's compatible with 9th gen chips, and it's decent enough quality to let you get a decent OC on your chip, but don't try and set any records on it.
Cooler: H100i is one of the better AiO's, at least for the price (even if you do get absolutely shafted in AU. It might be worth going with this instead:
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($86.00 @ Skycomp Technology)
It isn't as good, but it's literally half the price, and it's still an Asetek built one, so it shouldn't break, cooling performance will just be a couple degrees worse/it'll be a bit louder
RAM: 16gb of 3000 RAM, should serve you well for years, and Intel doesn't scale super well with higher speed RAM, so no real need to go faster.
Storage: Enough SSD to keep your core games, and HDD to put everything else on.
    GPU: Well, it's a 1070ti. It'll handle 1440p60 on high-ultra, or 1440p144 on low-medium
    Case: Cheap and pretty enough
PSU: SeaSonic apparently are slightly better than Superflower (Which is what the EVGA SuperNova G3 series are), and also cheaper, so go figure.

Actually the MasterLiquid ML240L is not an Asetek product. Cooler Master does not use Asetek technology, and thus cannot be expected to perform like an Asetek product, like the H100i Pro

Ah, my mistake. It just looks a lot like the Asetek ones, so thought it was them.

Suggestion: Swap out that 860 evo 500gb for a Samsung 970 EVO NVME m.2 drive.
    several times the performance.

In benchmarks. Not that much more in real-world, and if you're on any kind of budget, the extra 50% price for a 970 over 860 is probably not really a good deal.

If you were to replace 9600k to 8600k, get the Coolermaster CPU cooler and get a cheaper case, wouldn't it worth while upgrading 1070ti to 1080?
    It's only about $60-$100 extra
