Patch 8.1 and downloading it before tuesday

I noticed some news and some peeps talking about patch 8.1 being downloaded through the background downloader, i tried to check for updates but nothing started for me.

My question is, is there any way i can check if it's downloaded already for me overnight maybe ?

Check the "world of warcraft\data\data" folder and look at the date of the big (1GB) files..

Byt you can be 99,9% sure, it IS downloaded by now, unless your desktop app have not been open the last week or so..

All the data files show DEC 4, so i guess it is downloaded already?
