What the fuck am I reading? Of course he should be compensated for it. Getting beaten up or raped by inmates is not the penalty the state imposed. They should not allow any harm to prisoners/offenders beyond what the state has sanctioned.

And how did they conclude he was actually raped? Have there been recordings from then? Any witness who testified? A doctor's record? And why sue 40 years later?
