First he fought to drive the Italians out when they invaded Greece. Then he fought the Germans with the Greek Army. Then he fought as a partisan against the Germans. And after that he fought against the Communists trying to take over the country after WW2.

you don't need to be antifascist to shoot a nazi, some people may have enlisted because they were sociopaths that wanted a way to kill some people without being sent to jail for it, or maybe he was really patriotic to the country and didn't like germany because they were starting a war with the world and using japan to attack the USA, or maybe he didn't have a choice in being there because he was drafted.

I used to work at a retirement home and many of the men were WW2 vets. Most of them had very cool stories and even the ones who had experienced terrible things looked relatively fondly back on the war. I think that has a LOT to do with how well received WW2 is in our culture. Over decades, even men who went through hell feel like old heroes in their twilight years.

I don't know who that is, but if you hadn't figured it out yet, there is a major difference between a social and political movement with an army spreading across and invading lands with that ideology, and a single screwball with no political power or standing, and if I'm guessing, only touts his ideology while not having actual killed anyone for it yet, you know, like actual Nazis did and why the allied forces stood against them.

It's like claiming someone who collects memorabilia of serial killers like books and documentaries of them is as much a threat as the serial killers themselves.

Altohugh aside from that god bless that solider. My Great Uncle fought in the Second World War for a bit until he got sick and had to be sent home lol. Many of my great uncles served some out in Africa. (I have 5 great uncles).

My closest Great Uncle passed away last year and we even had the bagpipes play at his funeral because he served in the Highlands brigade so we had this awesome bagpipe session, was very sad.

So when the war was over, they started a civil war there and obviously created a military dictatorship.
The CIA then trained some former Nazi and made him boss of the place.
