I hope so otherwise they are missing some good chances to add some spice to the Alliance side. It has to be dull to always be getting along and good guys. You can't tell me the entire human race is basically uncorruptible post Arthas. Just doesn't make sense, one of them should desire the blade or its uses or something. But I doubt it. All the light and so forth.

Getting rid of it on my Horde main, keeping it on my Alliance one.

My Alliance main's a Void Elf, so going insane and betraying their faction is in-keeping with their theme.

They should be consolidating the factions into one, not splitting it further. WoW remains one of the few games on the market to keep this artificial divide in place in this day and age.

That's what keeps it unique. Faction pride is a big selling point for some people, myself included. It's something that other MMO's just can't replicate.

Nothing is likely to come of this, at least not directly. Given how slowly Blizzard do things, this is likely one of those tiny toe-dips they do to test the waters and gauge player feedback.

I can't see them upending how the game works mechanically to add a third faction, as much as I'd like one (Or the ability to dedicate alts to factions like the Defias or Scourge).

If anything at all comes of this, it'll be at least the next expansion. God knows it'll need an interesting selling point.

If it opens a storyline where the player is the villain and you potentially have to kill yourself with an alt / "reincarnation" (to justify you play the same char) that would be so cool
