    Introduction
GRIND was created right after Blizzard announced Classic World of Warcraft at Blizzcon 2017.
We are a bunch of classic nerds with a lot of experience in World of Warcraft retail and private servers and our purpose is to pursue a top spot among guilds world wide.
We will be part of everything that happens on our server - May it be PvE, PvP Ranking, World Bosses, World PvP, Hunting streamers or Mafia business.
You should expect us to do the unexpected and we will be both a feared and loved establishment of our server.

    Rules
    1. If you want to trash talk and be a big mouth, make sure you understand the difference in being a sheep and wolf!
    2. Appreciate the social aspect of the game. Relations among guild members will make the guild stronger!
    3. Compromising our community/guild will result in a guild removal.

We are using Loot Council to distribute gear.
The decisions will be based upon many things - Activity, Performance, Scouting and much more.
Gearing a large portion of players requires patience.
Never argue loot decisions during raids. Speak to an officer afterwards.
We can't make everyone happy, you need to accept this

Yeah... go to the right forums to promote your guild please... Else this will be flooded with posts like yours and we cannot have a "normal mmo champ" discussion about Classic.

I agree with all of your requirements and rules in your post. You seem to understand how a guild works and what is required of members. I do have something to say about the quoted part though.

Lootcouncil is great. I think it is the best thing ever. Atleast when you raid with a SMALL group -or- with a group of people you really know well for a long time. Lootcouncil in a 40 man (probably 55 in your roster) raid setting is less ideal. I would really like to understand how your future guildmembers will not riot about something during a raid and how you will resolve such issues. Not because I am being a annoying critic here. I am genuinely curious as I was a former guildmaster of a hardcore guild for the better part of my WoW experience sofar (retired now).

We came up with a system that awarded points. Not unlike DKP. What did it reward?
    You received points when:
    1. you were online at the proper time and prepared (you know what prepared means so I won't go into that)
    2. per half hour of raiding
    3. you were in the raid group at the end of the raid
    4. you were removed from the raidgroup in favour of a better suited class
    5. you killed a raidboss

We did reward other things as well. Like people who grinded mats for flasks etc etc etc. But that really was not a good decision. People who do not have that much time (and would like to be included in that source of "points gained") to play the game found it unfair. Which honestly, it is. Not everyone finds this unfair obviously. I mean some people grinding makes other peoples lives easier. It will cost them less time to play the game (in terms of gold or time). But the reward of points for those activities should not be unfair towards the people that grind either. It should be worth it for them right? Quite hard to find a good balance. And what amount of work equals what amount of points? So player A spends 2 hours for the guild and due to the gods of RNG gains a lot of lotusses. Player B spends 6 hours and gets the same amount. Who should be awarded more?

So we quit awarding people for extra points. It is an unfair system ultimately. Not inherently, but practically.

Other than that, we almost had never any drama about loot. As a player you would calculate how many points you would gain and what boss would drop a certain BIS item.... So this player would likely get the piece they wanted. But... and this is very important: We demanded a certain % of activity. If you could not meet that requirement, you were not getting prio (even if the points said so) on loot at all. If you did meet the required %? Then the loot itself is fair game for all. Provided it is BIS. This system will ultimately never over gear any player. So that if that player seeks greener pastures.... you'll just lose a player instead of a big number of items that other players could have used. You'll never have to deal with drama about that.

New recruits were always rewarded points but could only spend them during their trial on loot passed by others. And there would be a minimum amount to spend per item. If by chance their trial would end just before we were on to killing a NEW boss where the trial player had no experience with (because we took trials mostly on farm bosses if we were far into killing a new boss) but now that he was an actual member would have gained lootrights on... we would enforce the rule that this player would need to pass on any loot from this boss. That player had 0 experience and thus had no wipes/learning curve and would reap the rewards? Hell no.

We also had a set % of decay for those points. So every period (a month?) the points would be reduced by X% so that no player would hoard for a long time. Due to this decay they were forced to spend regularly. And a full reset would be done every new raid tier. This worked fine.

A system like this is easy to maintain. Due to the systems we had in place, it would also make your attendance visible.

So while a lootcouncil ultimately found its way to us when we had a set group for a long loooong period... this system gave us time to make lootcouncil work from a place of earned trust.

PS: if it was not clear yet - my system was a bidding system via an addon
