It's something I never completed in Vanilla because I couldn't find anyone to run it and I got tired of trying. I'll definitely finish it this go around though.

I really enjoyed the Paladin Class mount questline. It really made being a Paladin feel special. The charger and all it's barding was worth it all too!

The narrative thread tying it all together was also great. You start off just offering an isolated farmer protection and her husband offers to make you a weapon. That quite basic jumping off point just felt so 'Paladin'.

The Legend of Stalavan. Little more than a glorified fetch quest, but that it was so simple but kept me interested in it's plot, as well as the occasional creepy moment (opening the locker in Eastvale and being ambushed) made it memorable.

I'm also quite fond of the Embalmer questline. Although the Vanilla version was much more of a slog (Ravenhill -> Darkshire -> Ravenhill) it made a lot more sense why this isolated old man would need a spry young adventurer to get his stuff, rather than walking literally five meters to cross into Darkshire. Stitch's appearance was also a lot more memorable when he was slowly marching to Darkshire rather than appearing in the town centre with everything around you being on fire (and then put out) for... uhh, reasons.
Fortunately, SFK is gonna be super popular in WoW Classic, because everyone now knows that the loot there is pretty great.

Favorite? That's really hard to say, I dunno. I do remember enjoying the Druid Aquatic Form questline, though. Even though it was a serious pain in the ass, and to this day you'll most likely need a guide to get it done, it stands out as very immersive to me.

    In no particular order:

    a) Marshal Windsor and Onyxia
    b) Tirion Fordring
    c) Stalvan
    d) Battle of Darrowshire
    e) Ras Frostwhisper
    f) Any of the class quests

    - - - Updated - - -

P.S. In case y'all are unfamiliar with the quest, the Ras Frostwhisper chain explores his conversion to the Scourge and it explains how and why he became a lich.

Same as everyone else I guess.

Darrowshire, I liked the Argent Dawn questchain in Western Plaguelands - starting in Chillwind Camp, I liked all the quest
to acquire the various keys you needed, RIP key bag.

They sent you all over the place so you really had the feeling to be a traveler who has to go to wonderous places, which was
    very immersive.

Huge fan of the vanilla rogue quests. Only classic rogues remember the thorough beating given by Milton Beats when you failed to detect traps on that chest, or sneaking your way up the tower.

    Marshal Windsor.

Always thought it was badass how he was stuck between an Orc and Dark Iron war in the Burning Steppes, and through what seems like a simple breakout/escort quest for a prisoner, you find out there's this whole dragon infiltration in Stormwind. Epic.

I started in TBC, but ones I remember were helping the hermit in Duskwood, dealing with the pirates below Booty Bay, slowly destroying that town on the westside of Hillsbrad, getting the ZF mallet, hunting down the defias, Shady Rest Inn in Dustwallow. I remember being really happy when I got the certificate of thievery on my rogue, but I don't remember the quest at all. I still have it in my bags.

The questline for Tirion. The ending was sad, but memorable.

No quest chain was fun for me in Vanilla, though I played and grinned it out because there was never a time where you felt you had achieved what you wanted. Current wow gives you that feeling 1 week into a new expansion with MUCH BETTER story and quest lines. Riddle me that.

Questline for Benediction was quite epic. Perhaps mostly since it involved a lot of teamwork and crazy RNG to boot. I really liked the Scythe of Elune questline too, although it kinda lost its momentum in the end.

    This x 10000000000.

Man I was estatic when I first completed the quest and got the hammer out.

These feelings are ones that you just can't find in other MMOs now a days, not even current WoW.

that questline in felwood where you had to go below the place and kill all the orcs and satyr bad guys, that was dope
There's also nothing stopping Blizzard from resurrecting both Arthas and Archimonde and turning them into super saiyans so that they can fuse and fight Sargeras
