    Okay game for 2/4 quarters.

Yes that math adds up to exactly what you'd think.

Eagles need better receivers for sure.

Had AJ Green actually been on the market I'd have loved to see what Wentz and Green could have done together.

Well shit, no chance in this going away quickly. The last thing I read was that they were filming scouts.

That's what happens when you promote internally without putting any effort into retooling your coaching staff. Peterson did an amazing job with his original staff, but put seemingly no effort into the current iteration (Duce aside--who still isn't ready to be an OC, but is doing a great job--I hope they don't take the easy way out here).
I actually think Groh was a decent position coach. We saw some progress from players like Agholor during the 2017 run in large part because of his ability to develop talent. I was listening to WIP after the Seahawks game and heard that Groh was taking on more the WR coaching workload due to the regression at that position. I think it's safe to say Walch is out when the season is over. Hopefully Groh is either demoted (ideal) or fired as well.

This was part of a year long running documentary series, produced by the media arm of the Patriots that has nothing to do with the football side.

On top of that the main film crew for that media arm was in Foxborough filming for the game against the Chiefs, stuff that had nothing to do with the documentary series, so in order to film for the documentary in Cincy, they hired a crew to do it.

That crew, unlike the main Patriots crew, wasn't aware of the guidelines about filming the field and the sidelines. They were just doing a story on this Scout for the Documentary series and filmed what they felt was interesting.

This is not some great conspiracy that everyone is yet again trying to blame the Patriots for. And you guys wonder why we Patriots fans get so exasperated when people try to start drama about the Patriots. It's cause it always ends up like this: A sensational story that is in actual fact a whole load of hot air.

We've been burnt by this stuff before and it would be nice if, for once, people looked at the actual facts before going "Hur dur SPYGATE CHEATING DEFLATED BALLS" and tried to levy ridiculous penalties on the team.

The Patriots reputation is well earned and they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

It may be true or may not be true, but apparantly "its for a documentary" was a part of the excuses planned last time Spygate happened.

However, NFL seems to want to give the Pats the benefit of the doubt this time.

    lol I love both these...

Well whatever happens they're still going to make the playoffs and then we'll see if the decline is real. It's not like they haven't been bounced early in the past 10 years at all /s/ (go back to the beginning of this decade), but the analysts need to make their talking points.

Not going to lie if this is a conspiracy, good plan to do a real documentary the last season(s?) as cover.

I live in Harford County, Maryland and I have been a Ravens fan since 96; however, I work for Frito-Lay and if the Ravens make it to the Super Bowl the Forced Overtime is gonna kill me. It’ll be seven days a week for about two months (though they do have to give us off on our 22nd straight day no matter what) and I’m too old for that sort of thing! The paychecks will be nice, but the lower back pain won’t be.

So I’m in the awkward situation of hoping that the Ravens make it through the playoffs and go to the SB and also kinda hoping that they don’t.
Don’t ask me to explain my idiocy; I’m in my early 40’s and still don’t understand it myself.

I had no idea the Jets had 5 wins this year. That's a shocker.

    - - - Updated - - -

This is actually looking like a good game. Darnold had mono, Belle had the flur, yet the Jets are playing their best all season.

That earlier penalty by the Jets lineman was shitty but still worth it. He either hangs back and lets his QB get hit late for a first down and extra penalty yardage, or stop him and get penalized yourself. I'd rather protect my franchise QB than save a drive.

Well you're in luck, because if Lamar wins the MVP or the Ravens end the season as the top team, their odds of winning the Super Bowl decrease drastically! (Because, historically, the top offense and the MVP haven't fared well in the modern Super Bowl era).

The 5 wins is the only thing at this point keeping Adam Gase employed.

Well okay that and the fact the Jets technically don't have an owner until 2021 (hopefully).

Their coach hire is going to be interesting. I was doing some mental gymnastics to try and figure out where McCarthy might fit this cycle and the takeaway I had from the exercise was that Greg Roman is going to be the next coach of the Carolina Panthers.

If it's not him or some hotshot college spread guy, Cam's probably done. Cam needs a very specific kind of coach at this point to work as a QB.

I'm almost thinking that Cam is on his way to a backup role somewhere for two-three years then retired.

True. Lamar Jackson cam isn't. Someone will be desperate and pick him up.

Cam's days as a franchise QB may be over, but opportunities abound, lots of QBs nearing the end of their careers, teams lacking confidence in their current QBs and maybe not wanting to go for a 2nd contract, something will come up.

They've been dying to cut that guy, an absolute FA signing disaster. Based on his reaction he was pretty thrilled to get cut too.

Ryan Tannehill is a good comparison for Newton, a franchise QB with injury troubles, chose the best place to backup, behind a brittle Mariota, and has completely turned things around with unbelievable play the past couple months. Better than vanishing like RG3.
