Was hoping he would stay out of this race, but I certainly won't be complaining if he wins the nomination.

Ironically, I think Warren has gone further left than Bernie on the economic front. Curious to see what he does to try to stand out in the crowded field. Meanwhile, I feel like I have a lot of good or decent choices for the Dem ticket, which is quite refreshing.

who cares. the undemocratic democrats are just going to rig the primaries against him again.

Everybody had a problem with McCains's age and not just democrats. Also if Sanders, like McCain, decides to have Palin as a VP than his age is a is also questionable.

It's dishonest to just put McCain's age on Democrats, McCain even knew this.
McCain had a VP who couldn't name a newspaper she reads and said all sorts of stupid things. Ofc in hindsight her stupidity isn't as bad as Trump who didn't know that ''healthcare could be so complicated'' but McCain's age at that time was a legimate issue. Palin was a heartbeat away from the presidency.

bernie sanders is a few years older then trump, but if Trump stopped painting his hair and stopped using transplants he would look allot older as well. Plus Trump has to bribe his doctor.

Democrats better get their heads out of their asses and come together to get right what we weren't able to in 2016! Now is not the time to be divided or sling mud!

Biden announced today also he's running. Honestly the only two people running so far that has a chance of beating Trump in 2020 is Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. Hillary is too tainted and even Joe Biden will be a difficult sale because of the whole "uncle Joe" stigma. I love Bernie, and he may get my primary vote depending on other candidates... but I'm going to lose my shit if I hear the kids of the left scream that they'll vote third party or Republican when/if Sanders loses the nomination. I preached the Sanders gospel loud and clear last time around, but I understand fully how American civics work and didn't throw my vote into a trashcan with a non-red/blue vote.

Yeah, but we have to also stop fucking cowering and apologizing for standing up for our beliefs, because one criticism I do have about my own party is that shit happens far far too often. If you do wrong and recognize it you should do what is right, however you shouldn't nail yourself to the cross every time someone feels you offended them. Even if the reason is entirely made up.

We need to be a party of grown, ups, sometimes that means we disagree, I don't want to pretend we don't to sell some fake idea we are an echo chamber. We don't need bullshit to beat Trump, we need good qualified candidates and to gain credibility, we don't get that by not being authentic.

Especially arguing about better ways to manipulate people to vote for their best interest. Provided someone isn't dumb as a fucking rock, we can already do that, if they aren't educated, we don't need to be condescending and belittling to do that.

I would say my biggest concern is actually getting asses to the polls and going after GOP tactics to try to hijack the votes we do get. Because that was every bit as much a problem as many of the other things mentioned.

If Joe is running then He's got my support then, over everyone else I mentioned, However he still has to get through the Primaries just like Clinton, regardless to whether I support him.

Anybody running has to be able to do what you said above, champion our values, unite the party and kick Tumps ass!

The only way that's going to happen is even despite some qualifications, any candidates ability to stand before the party and fight out their ideas.

If they can't do that, then they don't deserve the Nomination, even if that's Hillary or Biden.

Yeah and honestly I want to avoid that stupid shit at all cost also, because I was alright with people being pissed off, I supported Bernie and was to, it's good to care about the causes you support, but honestly even if it has been HRC voters that did it had Bernie won, and just decided to say fuck the DNC and voted third party, no voted, or voted Trump and stayed in the party and called them selves Democrats.

This isn't a god damn football game, we aren't trying to beat out the clock, peoples lives are tied to this shit, our future, and at this point I don't give a shit who it pisses off, if anybody doesn't give a shit about that really they can leave which I don't think anybody who showed to vote are.

But any of that stupid obnoxious shit where, I am just going to play the Primaries and if I don't get my way I am just going to vote for Mickey Mouse fuck them!

I don't like Bernie Now, but if he does win the Nomination, I am going to practice what I said, Or I WOULD simply fucking leave the party.

But I am not going to do that honestly for the same reason a lot of others aren't, so if Bernie gets the Nomination Ill vote for him not because I LIKE HIM, and NOT because he is a Democrat now.

I am going to vote for the person, who represents the best to my ability the values I believe as an American move the country in the best place together.

If that's Bernie fucking Prove it, not with cheap shots and bullshit though, which doesn't require we all agree.

It does require checking our personal shit and demonstrating the whole is worth more than individual concerns

The next President gets to likely seat the next Supreme Court Nominee, they also get to decide whether we will even have a chance of doing something about climate change, and yes of Course doing something to fix the economy so it actually WORKS for everybody and not just some who feel the need to be armed with every weapon under the sun.

Guess the fringe left will have to tone down their "REEEEE OLD WHITE PEOPLE CAN'T DIE SOON ENOUGH!" rhetoric for a little while.

I wholeheartedly agree with you that we need to stop internal bickering and failing to stand up for our beliefs & apologizing for having the beliefs we have. The problem with Joe Biden though, I don't know if he'd be able to sway the independent, moderate, or Republican vote to him in states that actually decide the election. This is simply because of the "uncle Joe" stigma he has. The only bad stigma surrounding Bernie Sanders is that he wants to give people healthcare and let people marry whoever the hell they want to.

Bernie is going to fuck this up for dems. When he loses the primary again, and he will kids, I promise you that, more young voters are going to feel shit on again and either not vote or protest vote.

Bernie is going to cost dems a shit ton of young votes. He should stay out of this race and simply back someone else.

So much this, holy crap. The guy is as old as the Cryptkeeper - his mark on history should be the fact that since 2016 he essentially mobilized younger, more liberal Democrats. The best thing he could do for 2020 is endorse a single candidate as his spiritual successor and then take a back seat in all this. The fact that he's running again, despite the surplus of Bernie-like candidates that have already popped up, just screams selfish to me.

By jumping into the race, he's single-handedly morphed this into a repeat of the 2016 GOP primaries where there were so many similar candidates that the worst one rose to the top (Trump). Sanders will probably be a front-runner based on his cult of personality alone (like Trump) and then get stonewalled as President simply because, like Trump, his ideas aren't close enough to the American center to get through Congress.

He, and we, would be infinitely better off if he just hands the reins to a much younger Liberal Democrat and leaves on a high note. That way he goes out as an honored icon for a specific political ideology, instead of dragging us all down into the mud with him like Trump has.

Who is going to rob him at the Primary this time? Im thinking either Harris/Beto. He should just run as an Independent. I think he can get enough votes to invoke a 3rd party in the 2024 election. If he really had balls and cared about this country that is what he would do. Still, im not voting for a socialist, but I think having a 3rd party is better than what we have now.

Bad decision imo. I'm kind of worried that all of these choices will backfire and voter turnout will be terrible when everyone's favorite candidates don't make it through the primaries.

Which is odd, because my issue last election cycle was lack of good choices. It's complicated, I guess.

Bernie is too old. Love his ideas and some of what he wants to do for the country, but we need young(er) blood in the party to take over. It's time to stop being ruled by baby boomers - they're proving to be awful.

It'll be interesting to see how the DNC does the debates because seems they are going to need a kiddy table and well see if they put Bernie there. Unfortunately, I think they'll put my candidate there becaue they don't want the Anti-War canidate getting air time.

Bernie Sanders Bests Kamala Harris’ First-Day Donor Total in Four Hours

In just over the first four hours of his 2020 presidential campaign, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) had already raised money from 42,000 donors, a total that bested the number Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) had hit in the first full day of her campaign. The campaign estimated that Sanders had raised $1.2 million in three-and-a-half hours on Tuesday. The figure is another sign of the incredible money-raising prowess that Sanders brings to the race. Up to this point, Harris had been the most dynamic fundraiser among Democratic candidates in the race, having raised a whopping $1.5 million in 24 hours after declaring from more than 38,000 individual donors.

Unfortunetly only for the first round of voting for the delgates. Then there is California pushing their primary to the first Super Tuesday to try and aid Kamilia. It won't be a slam dunk and they are going to fight dirty like they did in 2016.

Bernie is much better shape than Trump and only 5 years older. Trump diet consists of Fast Food and the most active think he does is hit a golfball.
