After the update, my Twitch App was not recognizing anything I had installed.
After trying a variety of things I managed to fix the problem by Logging Out, changed my password in Twitch's website and after that Logged back in the app.
    Updates are working gret now.

Would love it to work, but it detected like 10 of my 30 addons, and 5 of them it "updated" to an older version, one was a 7.3.5 patch version.

Minion is WoWInterface’s addon updater. It entirely depends on authors uploading their addons to WoWInterface to work. If everyone was convinced to move away from Curse, Minion would be great.

Curse Client updated addons with zero interaction. You started it up and it sat there checking for updates occasionally and updating by itself. Twitch Client does not.

There isn’t some magical rule that says people cannot criticize free things, especially when the free thing bought out and replaced another thing and fucked it up.

It might be a free app, but half the time it can't find my games or find any addons installed. Installing new addons sometimes fail aswell. Perhaps they should test it before releasing the update. When it works, it aint as bad as some people make it out to be.

I don't know the intention of the new Twitch app update, but the WoW addon system was better in the previous version imho.

What I'm missing right now is:

    • A way to show the addon list in a more compact way (to have more addons visible at the same time)
    • A "Release type" column so I can quickly check that setting for all of my addons.
They must have added that later, it was not there when I first updated (could only choose to start on addon page). Thanks for letting us know though!

New option to go directly to specific wow install is nice. And refresh button seems to be working now.

Thank goodness, okay the update itself made me grumble. Some extra clicks, not the end of the world. However the many bugs is what made me infuriated. When you have something that actually worked, and worked well that is good. But when you change it completely and then it doesn't even work? That is what makes people start foaming at the mouth with pitchforks and torches!

Any way around this. I found 1 google result talking about blocking the update via firewall (revert back to old version I guess),

So bad...WTB curse updater circa 2012...?
Or go into Twitch Client settings > Addons > Enable "Show my Addons at launch".

Their initial release wasn't QA'd properly. But yeah it seems basically OK now.

I still miss configurable columns and the ability to sort by other columns, but not a big deal. It updates my addons now, which is what matters.

This type of comment has been said multiple times in the thread already and pretty well smashed by a logical response.

Quite funny coming from a poster that has "googling 4 letters is asking too much.." in their signature.

Every time the browser updated automatically, all my browser data has been erased and I can't restore them back. Sometimes, the system update also erases some hard drive data from the system. Can anyone suggest me any permanent solution for hard drive recovery?

Yeah its the buggiest piece of shit in existence I have had a never ending list of problems with it since it became the twitch app. My latest one is that whenever I shut down my PC the twitch app stops it and makes me force shutdown and before that it wiped all my weak auras.

I wish they would just fuck off with all the garbage bloat, the only thing I want it to do is update fucking addons.
    Hi Sephurik
