I had no idea that this was even in the works until the trailer popped.




Its a biopic of Tolkien's early life, his schooling days, his meeting with the woman who was to become his wife and the inspiration for Luthien, (which of itself was rather Shakespearan as he was 16, an orphan and a devout Catholic with a priest as a guardian and she was 19, illegitimate and Anglican and they were forbidden to see each other until he was 21) and of course his involvement with the Great War that saw most of his friends die, all of which inspired his works.
