Beating Sweden on anything is pretty much guaranteed to Make Finns happiest people on the planet so don't expect this thing to change anytime soon.

I expect that my country might just have an alarming decline when those who compile the list take more recent events into consideration.

While the situation is rather precarious, it wouldn't be fair to call it a genocide.

Yes, the government is negligent and appears to be tacitly approving of human rights abuses. But they are failing the whole country not just certain subsections.

They don't even have bidets in America, how could they be #1? Jokes aside, it's curious as to why professional lefties always assume that whoever disagrees with you is either American or an American boot-licker. It's infantile and naive.

You will enjoy checking out this table :
    http://worldhappiness.report/assets/.../2-2_Table.png

to see where each country lacks and where they win
    for example,
Iceland would be 1st if they didn't have so much corruption
Finland would be even more king of the ranking if they didn't have "low" generosity
lol at Greece and South Korea ranking so low in Freedom, even Turkey is better. (not really buying this one though)
Think we need to guide to explain some of those numbers, like how Canada has a healthy life expectancies of 8 while places like Hati have the value placed at 151, is it 1/151 people expected to have a healthy life?

As I see it 'happiness' is subjective at best... what makes one person happy might utterly terrify someone else.

I am left leaning, but this is the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
it's no dumber than saying it's "racist" to call certain countries shithole countries just because they happen to also be populated by brown people, ignoring the fact that the quality of life in these countries are indeed shit.

And what is terrifying about 1 of the six of the key variables that have been found to support well-being: income, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, trust or generosity?

So let's create a contest between countries where we rate on:

    1. The state takes the least amount of your paycheck
    2. It's warm
    3. There is a lot of diversity, many races and ethnic backgrounds
    4. Opportunity to create world class businesses
    5. The most freedom of speech
    .

Denmark rising towards its proper place at #1?

Yeah, I'm ok with that, and being in the top 3 is still lovely.

It is the same list they've had running for years upon years. All countries goes through the same list.

Like where their prime minister is on TV with a solemn expression and a backdrop of covered dead bodies talking about "tirririst itticks" .....

This huge human tragedy is unfolding in front of us and I have to pinch myself not to laugh. Years since I felt that much of an A-hole!

I think you would see the U.S. and Europe being much lower and Latin American and central Asian countries being much higher.
By your definition, Scandinavia is definitely on the top, right as it shows.

In todays society it is all about time and money, and up here you have both.

That is just the fuel for Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden, if we can beat one of us in something, the other will be cheering.
