If they WOULD stil hate the nelves after all that time it would only prove that their culture hasn't progressed in more than 10k years, which would equal admission of an utter failure as a culture.

The Nightborne are pretty much the Night Elf empire frozen in time come again.
Suramar is a whole city and not all of them are highborne most likely, afterall the Highborne were pretty much the nobility of Nightelf society.

If you're a troll in Silvermoon you're called a filthy troll by some bow merchant and he won't sell to you, love little details like that.

Tried looking for "ears" and "necklace" with ALT+F on both stories, but I couldn't find anything suggesting they did. I doubt that the trolls didn't take trophies despite it not being explicitly mentioned, though.

OT: I think most Horde soldiers relished the War of Thorns up until Teldrassil got torched (and even then some probably still enjoyed themselves).

Well they had to display his truly abyssal leadership skills, it is like beating the night elves that bar was just not low enough. Though it was kinda fun that blizz actually portrayed genuine simple humans in that short story, too bad Anduin overshadowed the whole ordeal.

Did they, though? They care plenty about the world around them. What did trolls do to save Azeroth again? If they as a civilisation are locked in hatred, fixated on the past instead of the future (which the nelves are not), then they are a failed culture.
